What does Bobby Shriver mean "We Own It"?

Fellow Veterans and Friends of Veterans: Who are the "We" that Bobby Shriver alludes to other than his wealthy friends that have always "owned" Veterans land?
Mr. Shriver, who is not a Veteran but sends e-mails under the illusory "bobby@veteranadvocate.org," and in order to attend this event one must RSVP to contact@veteranadvocate.org, which is linked to www.vatherightway.org listed in the above flyer. The "WE OWN IT" property that Mr. Shriver implies, is to land deeded exclusively for disabled and disadvantaged Veterans but was stolen away by non-Veteran entities. Veterans won a Federal Judgment proving that there are nine occupants on this sacred land with leases that are “unauthorized by law and therefore void.” A behind-closed doors “settlement agreement” was orchestrated by wealthy attorneys, none of whom are Veterans including Mr. Shriver, and they promised “to end veteran homelessness in Greater LA in 2015 and beyond.” The agreement also called for “an exit strategy for those non-VA entities now located at VA's West LA campus whose use of property at VA's West LA campus does not both comply with applicable law …” The ink was hardly dry on the scandalous agreement that vacated the Federal Judgment, when VA Secretary RobertA. McDonald, his close attorney friends Bobby Shriver, Ron Olson and the ACLU attorneys -- along with corrupt members of Congress -- were already divvying up this land with even more behind-closed-door deals and protecting their rich fat-cat friends at the private Brentwood School, UCLA, Veterans Park Conservancy, etc. Mr. Shriver's daughter attends Brentwood School and his influential involvement in vacating the Federal Judgment that listed Brentwood School as one of the nine unauthorized lease holders, is a direct conflict of interest and immediately nullifies any validity of the settlement agreement, and Mr. Shriver needs to have his law license revoked from the California State Bar.

Last month, Secretary McDonald and Mayor Garcetti shamefully admitted that they had already failed at “ending veteran homelessness in Greater LA in 2015 and beyond,” thus breaching and nullifying the agreement. This fraudulent settlement is a Trojan Horse scam of the most immoral magnitude that protects the wealth and power while dispossessing disabled and destitute homeless Veterans. A recent e-mail distribution announced: << Bobby Shriver and others are co-hosting for stakeholders in reference to the West LA VA Campus. The special event will be held at the Civic Center in Santa Monica on Monday night, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m.>> This is billed as “A Special Event for Veterans and Veteran Organizations to determine the future of the West LA VA Campus" and further proclaims << WE OWN IT – What Do We Want On It? >> Mr. Shriver and his fat-cat charlatan cronies (stakeholders) are nothing more than self-imposed dictators who control the "planning" of Veterans land for their personal gain and benefit at the expense of war-injured and impoverished homeless Veterans. Mr. Shriver has hoodwinked and bamboozled well-meaning Veteran advocates into believing he and his rich cronies are supportive of protecting their land with a "master plan," when in truth they have already stolen Veterans land with their own unilateral "master scam." << What Do We Want On It?>> Here’s a hard-core, albeit inhumane fact: these wealthy, non-Veteran dictators have zero plans to build permanent supportive housing for disabled homeless Veterans on VA property, deeded exclusively in their behalf. That’s because the blatant in-your-face message these robber barons are sending is “WE OWN IT,” while deceiving unassuming Veterans into believing they own it. More than a month ago, Bobby Shriver along with the “master plan” team of HOK Architecture and VA bureaucrats, were invited to organize and participate in a Town Hall Meeting at Skid Row to talk with homeless Veterans about what they would want on this land, but they all refused to respond. Now Mr. Shriver is co-hosting a "WE OWN IT!" event at upscale and posh Santa Monica where he lives. The foregoing notwithstanding, "We the People," headed by the Los Angeles Neighborhood Council Coalition, Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council, West Los Angeles Neighborhood Council, Vietnam Veterans of America, Region 9, Justiceville USA and the Old Veterans Guard, will be hosting a Humanitarian Relief Crusade for homeless Veterans at Skid Row on September 24, and we will subsequently be busing as many homeless Veterans as possible to the Los Angeles VA for proper housing and healthcare. These disadvantaged and destitute homeless Veterans OWN THIS LAND -- not Mr. Shriver and his rich cronies -- and now we’re bringing these homeless Veterans “HOME.” Join the common folk of "We the People" in this noble cause to resolve the homeless Veteran problems in Los Angeles, beginning with Skid Row, then we're going neighborhood-by-neighborhood until we complete the job that Secretary McDonald, Mayor Garcetti, Bobby Shriver, Ron Olson and the ACLU attorneys failed to do as promised in their bogus settlement agreement. See Press Release below and attached Flyers. God Bless America and the Veterans Revolution! What: Skid Row Town Hall Meeting When: Thursday, September 24, 2015 12:00 - 4:00 PM Where: 6th and Gladys Park 808 E 6th Street Los Angeles, CA 90021 Why: To end Veteran homelessness at Los Angeles Skid Row Humanitarian Relief for Skid Row Homeless Veterans LOS ANGELES -- "We the People" will hold a Town Hall Meeting at downtown Skid Row that will include a "Search and Rescue" crusade to find as many homeless Veterans in the area as possible and bus them to the Los Angeles VA for humanitarian housing and care. More than a month ago, we asked the HOK architecture firm to hold a Town Hall meeting at Skid Row to get input for the VA’s new Master Plan like they've done at all the local neighboring communities in West Los Angeles, and they did not respond but instead referred us to Charles Green, the Chief of VA Public, who did not respond or accept responsibility. Bobby Shriver, the close personal friend of VA Secretary McDonald was asked to help but did not respond or accept responsibility. Thus, "We the People" have accepted this shrugged responsibility and are taking control to do the right and honorable thing on behalf of our disabled and homeless Veterans, starting at Skid Row. This Town Hall meeting and corresponding "Search and Rescue" crusade are a consortium of the Los Angeles Neighborhood Council Coalition, Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council, West Los Angeles Neighborhood Council, Vietnam Veterans of America, Region 9, Justiceville USA, and the Old Veterans Guard. More supportive allies will be announced soon and we welcome all Veterans Service Organizations, Veteran advocates and local organizations of goodwill to join. Every fellow American who appreciates our nation's unique way of life and are grateful to the men and women of our Armed Forces who've made it possible, are respectfully requested to participate and join in this noble cause. This bold venture will change the math of Veteran homelessness at Skid Row as we are going into the most densely populated area of Veteran homelessness in the nation and we are going to bus every one of them to the Los Angeles VA until there are zero homeless Veterans there, unless he or she voluntarily chooses to continue living in the worst hell hole on American soil. Earlier this year on January 3rd, humanitarian Rafer Johnson, America's legendary Olympic Decathlon Champion and Civil / Human Rights icon, spoke passionately before the Los Angeles Neighborhood Council Coalition and declared that Los Angeles is in a "state of emergency" for homeless Veterans and that we needed to use the nearly 400 acres of land at the Los Angeles VA to house and care for them. Jay Handal, chairman of the West Los Angeles Neighborhood Council authored a Motion that passed unanimously by the 96-member neighborhood coalition supporting Rafer's declaration. On February 19, Dick Southern, Region 9 Director of Vietnam Veterans of America, sent a letter to the VA requesting an emergency land use permit to house and care for our homeless Veterans on the VA grounds that was deeded exclusively in 1888 to house and care for disabled and disadvantaged Veterans. All of these honorable gestures and requests have been denied and rejected by those entrusted to end Veterans homelessness, particularly VA Secretary McDonald's homeless expert, Vince Kane, who adamantly denies that Los Angeles is in a "state of emergency." Considering the VA's failure to do its job as promised, one thing everyone knows is that we are definitely in a "state of responsibility." Thus, "We the People" accept this responsibility to do what VA Secretary McDonald and Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti failed in their public promise to end Veteran homelessness by the end of this year. Now they say it will be next summer at the earliest. Homeless Veterans cannot wait any longer, nor can "We the People"! On September 24th,"We the People" begin our "Search and Rescue" crusade to first end Veteran homelessness in Skid Row and then we're going into every Los Angeles neighborhood until each homeless Veteran has been brought onto the VA grounds for proper housing and care. We will bring all of them to the VA’s “Homeless Veteran Welcome Center” at Building 257 for triage evaluation, and the beginning of a new and productive life. A very special thanks to Terrence Gomes, president of the Los Angeles Neighborhood Council Coalition, Patti Berman, president of the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council and Jay Handal, chairman of the West Los Angeles Neighborhood Council for stepping up and organizing the Skid Row Town Hall Meeting and Los Angeles VA receiving station. Join and become part of this history-making cause to truly end Veteran homelessness in Los Angeles, our nation's capital for homeless Veterans.
