What Kind of Communist is Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy? The Most Dangerous Kind

What Kind of Communist is Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy? The Most Dangerous KindWhat kind of Communist is Vladimir Putin? One who poisons enemies to a slow and agonizing death; a monster who made it to the top of the heap through a lifelong loyalty to the soul-killing KGB. Even in all the twisting of Fake News, after 69 years on this Earth, there’s very little we do not already know about Comrade Putin. What kind of Communist is Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy? A hidden one, masquerading as a celebrity comedian. In other words, a cunning and even more dangerous one.
“Zelenskyy announced his candidacy in the 2019 Ukrainian presidential election on the evening of 31 December 2018, alongside the New Year's Eve address of then-president Petro Poroshenko on the TV channel 1+1. (Wikipedia) “A political outsider, he had already become one of the frontrunners in opinion polls for the election. He won the election with 73.23% of the vote in the second round, defeating Poroshenko. He has positioned himself as an anti-establishment and anti-corruption figure. “As president, Zelenskyy has been a proponent of e-government and unity between the Ukrainian- and Russian-speaking parts of the country's population. His communication style heavily utilises social media, particularly Instagram being the most popular Ukrainian influencer with 15 million followers—more than twice as many as the next one as of 2022. “His party won a landslide victory in a snap legislative election held shortly after his inauguration as president. During his administration, Zelenskyy oversaw the lifting of legal immunity for members of the Verkhovna Rada, the country's response to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent economic recession, and some progress in tackling corruption in Ukraine. “Critics of Zelenskyy claim that, in taking power away from Ukrainian oligarchs, he has sought to centralise authority and strengthen his personal position.”
How can he “take power away from Ukrainian oligarchs when he himself is one?
“Zelenskyy promised to end Ukraine's protracted conflict with Russia as part of his presidential campaign, and attempted to engage in dialogue with Russian president Vladimir Putin.(Wikipedia) “Zelenskyy's administration faced an escalation of tensions with Russia in 2021, culminating in the launch of an ongoing full-scale Russian invasion in February 2022. Zelenskyy's strategy during the Russian military buildup was to calm the Ukrainian populace and assure the international community that Ukraine was not seeking to retaliate. He initially distanced himself from warnings of an imminent war, while also calling for security guarantees and military support from NATO to "withstand" the threat. After the commencement of the invasion, Zelenskyy declared martial law across Ukraine and a general mobilisation of the armed forces. His leadership during the crisis has won him widespread international admiration, and he has been described as a symbol of Ukrainian resistance."
Zelenskyy is no different from the legions of politicians using identity politics as a means of getting ahead.

From comedian to heroic savior of the country overnight?

From comedian to heroic savior of the country overnight?
“In March 2018, members of Zelenskyy's production company Kvartal 95 registered a new political party called Servant of the People – the same name as the television program that Zelenskyy had starred in over the previous three years. “Although Zelenskyy denied any immediate plans to enter politics and said he had only registered the party name to prevent it being appropriated by others.” (Wikipedia)
Right.
“There was widespread speculation that he was planning to run. As early as October 2018, three months before his campaign announcement and six months before the presidential election, he was already a frontrunner in opinion polls. After months of ambiguous statements,on 31 December, less than four months from the election, Zelenskyy announced his candidacy for president of Ukraine on the New Year's Eve evening show on the TV channel 1+1. (Wikipedia) “His announcement up-staged the New Year's Eve address of incumbent president Petro Poroshenko on the same channel, which Zelenskyy said was unintentional and attributed to a technical glitch. “Zelenskyy's presidential campaign against Poroshenko was almost entirely virtual. He did not release a detailed policy platform and his engagement with mainstream media was minimal;he instead reached out to the electorate via social media channels and YouTube clips.”
This was at a time when thousands whose opinions didn’t match the opinion of social media giants were being tossed like so much garbage off social media.

The good people of Ukraine have been had by a 10-cents-a-dance comedian

“In place of traditional campaign rallies, he conducted stand-up comedy routines across Ukraine with his production company Kvartal 95. (Wikipedia) “He styled himself as an anti-establishment, anti-corruption figure, although he was not generally described as a populist. “He said he wished to restore trust in politicians, "to bring professional, decent people to power" and to "change the mood and timbre of the political establishment".
Why is a comedian more worthy of election than say, an office clerk?
“On 16 April 2019, a few days before the election, 20 Ukrainian news outlets called on Zelenskyy to "stop avoiding journalists”.(Wikipedia) “Zelenskyy stated that he was not hiding from journalists but that he did not want to go to talk shows where "people of the old power" were "just doing PR" and that he did not have time to satisfy all interview requests.”
As good a dodge as any depending on one’s creativity.
“Zelenskyy clearly won the first round of elections on 31 March 2019.[67] In the second round, on 21 April 2019, he received 73% of the vote to Poroshenko's 25%, and was elected President of Ukraine. Polish president Andrzej Duda was one of the first European leaders to congratulate Zelenskyy. French president Emmanuel Macron received Zelenskyy at the Élysée Palace in Paris on 12 April 2019.[71] On 22 April, U.S. president Donald Trump congratulated Zelenskyy on his victory over the telephone. (Wikipedia) "European Commission president Jean Claude Juncker and European Council president Donald Tusk also issued a joint letter of congratulations and stated that the European Union (EU) will work to speed up the implementation of the remainder of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, including the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area."
The good people of Ukraine have been had by a 10-cents-a-dance comedian who should have been booed off the stage as president. Sadly, this is not the first time that brutal communism hid its hammer from an unsuspecting public.

ZELENSKY DANCING IN HEELS

Gorbachev cries poor

-- Canada Free Press, April 3, 2006
“So former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev says, "America is intoxicated by its position as the world's only superpower", adding that he says this "as a good friend of America”. “Make that "a good friend of America" who, like some of the Hollywood stars with whom he trucks, criticizes the US at every available opportunity. “America is intoxicated by its position as the world's only superpower. It wants to impose its will. But America needs to get over that. It has responsibilities as well as power," Gorbachev told Times Magazine writer Sally B. Donnelly in an interview about his new book, To Understand Perestroika. “Who is Gorbachev, who made a soft landing in America after the collapse of the Soviet Union and who would have had nothing without the United States, to criticize it? “It was the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the Ford Foundation, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and the Pew and Mellon Funds that provided the financing to launch Gorbachev's return from retirement. “A $3.5-million bailout preceded Gorbachev's arrival in America to the Presidio, after a fundraiser was held in his honour at the posh Waldorf-astoria. “In April of 1993, Mikhail S. Gorbachev became the first civilian tenant at the prestigious Presidio in San Francisco. In a dedication ceremony, the former Soviet President and his wife were given the keys to a Coast Guard officer's house by a three-star general, where they were to run the Gorbachev Foundation. The Foundation conducts research on global political and environmental issues. "For two centuries, the Presidio has stood as a sentinel for the San Francisco Bay area," Lieut. Gen. Glynn Mallory Jr., commander of the Sixth army, said at the ceremony. "It is only fitting for the leader of a peace foundation to be welcomed by a soldier, showing that the defenders of the Golden Gate have been a success." (The New York Times, May 18, 1993).

Gorbachev: "Our purpose is to disarm the Americans and let them fall asleep"

“The Presidio was one of more than 90 military installations being closed under the Base Realignment and Closure act of 1988, an initiative launched by some of Gorbachev's Democrat politician friends, including Nancy Pelosi. “Ironic that the former Soviet leader who said in a 1987 speech to the Politburo, "Our purpose is to disarm the Americans and let them fall asleep" now makes his home at the Presidio. “In the Time Magazine interview, Gorbachev laments the paucity of his government pension. “When asked by Donnelly, "are you enjoying life?" Gorbachev responded, "Yes, but there are some difficulties. Traveling is physically hard. and my (government) pension is only 40,000 rubles a month (about $1,400). “Did Gorbachev spend his way through $3.5-million saving the environment, or was it spent with colleague Canadian billionaire Maurice Strong in trying to replace the Ten Commandments with the Earth Charter?”
