The Burden off Flu Disease 2017-2018
CDC Flu statistics
Nobody—particularly the Democrats, mainstream and social media—talks about how each year’s seasonal Influenza is both sickening and killing people by the tens of thousands. They’ve never admitted that The Flu can kill you. That’s because they’ve never “weaponized” the Flu like they have the Coronavirus.
According to The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) stats, Flu has killed 20,000 Americans, including 136 children so far—this season. The CDC said that so far this season, 34 million people have contracted  the flu, and about 20,000 have died. (Fox News, March 8, 2020) Of those who died as of Feb. 29, 136 were children, the CDC said in its weekly flu report. The CDC Prevention said that hospitalization rates among young children were the highest on record, surpassing rates reported during the 2009 pandemic. About 350,000 people have been hospitalized.
“The CDC said that this year's flu vaccines have proven to be very well targeted. "Almost all (99%) of the influenza viruses tested this season are susceptible to the four FDA-approved influenza antiviral medications recommended for use in the U.S. this season," the agency said in a statement on its website.” (Fox News)

Why do we have little to no news on the yearly victims of ordinary influenza—but saturation coverage on COVID-19? Experts like Dr. Drew (David Drew Pinsky) are now warning on the coronavirus: “Businesses are getting destroyed and people’s lives are being upended not by the virus, but by the panic. The panic must stop. And the press, they really somehow need to be held accountable because they are hurting people.” (Daily Wire, March 9, 2020) What until recently was “Russia!” “Russia!” “Russia” is now “Coronavirus!” “Coronavirus!” “Coronavirus”!” With the help of the media, will deranged Democrats carry the Coronavirus-going-pandemic scare right up to Election Day? That they have weaponized the China bug is fact and not conspiracy.

Proof? Joy Reid: Children of Trump supporters are a Coronavirus Threat to “Your Kids!” (NewsBusters, March 7, 2020)

People the world over—from everyone from Pope Francis to Senator Ted Cruz—are self-quarantining. On Sunday the pontiff said he felt “caged” by having to address Vatican crowds behind glass for the first time. Notice how he didn’t say he felt “restricted” or “ill at ease”, only “caged”?

Some saw it coming: Anti-Trumpers and media are leaning on hype to try to have the president cancel his popular rallies: Daily Beast:
”President Donald Trump, an admitted germaphobe, is now two degrees away from someone who tested positive for the novel coronavirus—and his staff at the White House is reportedly getting more and more worried about the illness. Over the weekend, a photo emerged of the president shaking hands with Matt Schlapp, the chairman of the American Conservative Union who led the Conservative Political Action Conference last month. Schlapp has admitted he was in direct contact with an as-yet-unnamed attendee of the four-day conference who tested positive. The Washington Post reports there is growing tension among Trump administration officials who fear the virus could dominate the president’s fourth year in office, and there are increasing fears over Trump’s personal health. The president is in an age bracket that is particularly vulnerable to the effects of COVID-19. His personal doctor, Sean Conley, reportedly now attends some White House meetings on the coronavirus, the White House is being cleaned more regularly, and no campaign rallies were scheduled as of Sunday evening. It’s reportedly the first time this year that there were no rallies on the books.”
A “growing tension among Trump administration officials who fear the virus could dominate the president’s fourth year in office”? Wonder where that comes from, WaPo? Then there’s this one: ‘Trump says he'll keep holding rallies amid coronavirus, but he has none scheduled after holding 6 in the past month.’ (BusinessInsider, March 6, 2020)
  • President Donald Trump said on Friday he would continue to hold 2020 campaign rallies in spite of growing fears over the spread of coronavirus.
  • "Doesn't bother me at all," Trump said when asked by a reporter if he's worried about the risk of having so many people stand so close together.
  • But there are currently no rallies scheduled, according to the Trump campaign's website.
  • Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.
"President Donald Trump has continued to hold 2020 campaign rallies amid growing fears over the novel coronavirus, which has led major events like SXSW to be cancelled, and on Friday signaled that he has no intention of stopping. "As he visited the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) headquarters in Atlanta, a reporter asked Trump if he'd consider holding off on future rallies due to concerns over the virus.

"I haven't had any problems filling them. We just had one in North Carolina, South Carolina, all of the place and we have tens of thousands of people standing outside of the arena," Trump said.  “When pressed on whether he thought it was a risk to have that many people standing close together, Trump replied, "Doesn't bother me at all, and it doesn't bother them at all." “Trump has had about half a dozen rallies in the past month, often occurring in states holding Democratic primary contests as a form of counter-programming or "trolling," as the president recently described it.  "We like to troll, we like to go the night before one of their primaries. We do a little trolling. It's called we do a little trolling," Trump said on Monday.  “Though Trump on Friday signaled he would not halt rallies because of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, there are currently none on the calendar. "No rallies scheduled," Trump's 2020 campaign website said as of Friday evening. ”It's unclear if this is due to the novel coronavirus, which originated in Wuhan, China, and has spread to dozens of other countries. More than 100,000 people have been infected and over 3,400 have died from the virus, including 15 in the US.  "The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.”
But you won’t find it on the Business Insider home page that BI is both German owned and anti-Trump. “Business Insider is an American financial and business news website founded in 2009 and owned by the German publishing house Axel Springer SE.” (Wikipedia)  Meanwhile, don’t look for any information in coming days about how to best protect yourself from contracting COVID-19 because all you will find online is “Blame coronavirus on President Trump”!
