Why Do Democrat Politicians Love Foreign Refugees but Hate Homeless U.S. Military Veterans?

“California stands ready to welcome the latest generation of those seeking refuge to our shores,” according to a statement from Rep. Adam B. Schiff (D-Burbank). The initiative is being led by Schiff, Eric Swalwell (D-Dublin) and Ted Lieu (D-Torrance) and is signed by 20 other representatives of the Democrat Party."

Why do these Democrat politicians love foreign refugees but hate homeless U.S. Military Veterans?! For decades, Los Angeles has been our nation's capital for homeless U.S. Military Veterans and U.S. Representative Ted Lieu's 33rd Congressional District includes the largest and most allegedly corrupt VA in the nation. Lieu, a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, must morally, patriotically, and legally stand up first and foremost by demanding that President Joe Biden immediately house and care for more than 4,000 homeless U.S Military Veterans in Greater Los Angeles in Los Angeles where this hallowed property was deeded more than 133 years ago “to be permanently maintained as a National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers.” Shamefully, under U.S. Congressman Lieu and U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein’s “watch,” this sacred land has been illegally leased to the domestic enemy that includes wealthy, powerful and elitist non-Veteran, neighboring homeowner groups (Lieu and Feinstein’s campaign donors) who tenaciously finagled control of the Los Angeles VA property for use as their own fiefdom, which includes 22 acres of VA land for one of the richest private schools in the nation – Brentwood School – for a state-of-the-art sports complex, 10 acres of VA land for UCLA’s state-of-the-art collegiate baseball diamond, practice field and parking lot, 12 acres of VA land “rent free” for the City of LA’s largest public dog and parking lot, four acres for a public parking lot on VA land to accommodate wealthy Brentwood Village shoppers and employees instead of the wealthy landlords providing their own parking as required by the rest of private businesses in the City of Los Angeles, a multitude of acres of VA land “rent free easement” on the south side of Wilshire in front of Veterans VA hospital for METRO with a humongous subway station and gigantic public parking lot for the general public, etc., etc. Now Lieu is putting his love and affection for foreign refugees first and foremost while neglecting and abusing disabled homeless U.S. Military Veterans in his own Congressional District.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles remains our nation’s capital for homeless Veterans in spite of the corrupt VA bureaucrats and non-Veteran lawyer Ron Olson mutually signing a “settlement agreement” on January 28, 2015, with the #1 promise they would “end Veteran homelessness in Greater LA by 2015 and beyond.” Note that Ted Lieu used to work for Ron Olson's law firm before getting into politics. Homeless Veterans continue to live on the streets and sidewalk adjacent to the Los Angeles VA and the only thing the VA has provided is a makeshift tent encampment on a very small parcel of VA property with very small feckless tents, which is overseen by WLA VA executive director Steve Braverman -- a supposed Medical Doctor and retired U.S. Army Colonel – who answers to Congressman Lieu and U.S. Senator Feinstein, who answer to the wealthy and powerful, non-Veteran neighboring elite who covet and control the Los Angeles VA as their own domain. More than a decade ago, the Old Veterans Guard proposed an “An Act of Community” with a Veterans Grand Plan to rebuild the Los Angeles VA that appeared in the local “Westside Today” and “Brentwood News.” Nothing remotely has transpired toward this noble and responsible cause as both the VA and the local community have fought this "progressive" plan of our U.S. Military Veterans. (ATTACHED) Earlier this year on February 7, 2021, Dick Southern, Director of Vietnam Veterans of America, Region 9, sent President Joe Biden the attached letter and Petition calling for Presidential Executive Orders to honor the settlement agreement and prohibit non-Veteran entities from entering and exiting Veterans VA land. (ATTACHED) There’s been absolutely no response whatsoever from “Commander-in-Chief” Joe Biden or his Secretary of the VA, Denis Richard McDonough. Lest we’ve forgotten, after the fall of Saigon in 1975 that ended the Vietnam War, Democrats California Gov. Jerry Brown and U.S. Senator Joe Biden refused to accept Vietnamese refugees, while today after Biden’s disgraceful ending of the Afghanistan War, California’s Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom and the Democrat members of Congress are openly welcoming Afghanistan refugees while U.S. Military Troops are still being killed in Afghanistan, and Veteran U.S. Military Troops – some from the Vietnam War – are still living homeless and hungry on American soil.

Governor Jerry Brown, Biden and other Dems refused to accept Vietnamese refugees

In 1975, leftist Dems went to great lengths to keep Vietnamese refugees (even orphans) out of the United States.

And let us not forget that Joe Biden was a major Draft dodger during the Vietnam War era.
