(Editor's Note: Michigan Patriot shares the same worries of millions of Americans tonight who want House Speaker John Boehner to put action into the words he used at a Friday morning news conference: "There is no agreement, in private or in public...it's not like there is some imminent deal about to happen." Gillanders who got no response to her letters to Boehner and other reps, is making her letter public on Canada Free Press): Stop Boehner from caving July 8th, 2011 Representative Boehner:

This letter is in reference to the debate that has been ongoing now for several years and the out of control spending that congress has chosen to play games with, as our country spirals downward toward destruction.  As an American whom has become very involved and concerned with the direction our country has been led, I feel that each and everyone of us who have disagreements with the tactics of this administration in the quest to bring about the “Hope and Change” they promised to  a portion of Americans, should be challenged by those of us who value our freedom and our country. We had hope that those of you who value this country’s leading role in the world, our freedoms and the health of this nation's prosperity, would take the lead and stand tall against the tyranny that many of us see taking place.  What we see instead are smoke and mirrors and game playing with our economy and the livelihood of Americans, as we sink deeper into a debt we may never recover from. Quit playing games and introduce “Real” solutions that include binding “institutional reforms “ that produce cuts to the budget that will make a difference and are bound by congressional controls, that will actually “control” the irresponsible spending habits of the legislature and administration.   We don’t have a money problem, but our government has a serious spending problem, and most of us that have been carefully watching the ongoing show that has been displayed and patiently waiting for a fix with real meaning,  want you, who are paid for your services, to actually do your job and bring us back from the brink of disaster.  It is obvious that this administration has other plans for this nation, which don’t include our Constitution or Bill of Rights, which in the past has been our guiding light, but seem to be directing us more towards a “New World Order” and away from our freedoms and Rights to pursue our own path to our destiny. We need those of you who believe in this country’s sovereignty and the individuality of our citizens, to “Draw a Line in the Sand” against what is happening and start us back to our healthy nation, with decisions that have backbone and REAL meaning.  It would be wonderful if you all lead by example and started cleaning “your” house and removing the unnecessary expenditures incurred by your own office budgets, your healthcare expenses as well as salaries,  and the fraud that is rampant in expenditures outlay, rather than try to take more from hard working Americans who are the first asked to sacrifice. I am sending this to many of our representatives. Please excuse if you agree, and if not, please reconsider your stance on this very important problem we face in America, before it is too late to turn back.   Thank You,  and I implore you to please,  not,  disregard this.   Elizabeth Gillanders

No, GOP won't 'cave' in budget talks

By: Byron York House Speaker John Boehner's office is pushing back against speculation that Republican negotiators will "cave" to President Obama in talks on raising the national debt ceiling.  "Every Republican has been clear as crystal: No tax hikes," says a Boehner spokesman.  "Tax hikes destroy jobs and they cannot, and will not, pass the House." The "clear as crystal" formulation in the spokesman's response is no accident.  Boehner is having to respond today in part because of a statement Thursday night by Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol that Republicans "are getting ready to cave in a pretty big way on Sunday," when budget talks resume.  "It sounds as if it's heading towards a deal," Kristol said on Fox News.  "It's not a deal that I'm going to like, I suspect, and I think it's going to be a bad deal for conservatives and Republicans. But I think they are intimidated. The president has been running around talking about corporate jets and the rich and how the sky is going to fall unless Republicans cave. And I think they're getting ready to cave in a pretty big way on Sunday." Citing Kristol's prediction, talk show host Rush Limbaugh began his program Friday with a warning to Republicans.  If the GOP does, in fact, cave to Obama, Limbaugh said, "You can say goodbye to the Republican National Committee," which Limbaugh said would "implode" because donors would stop giving.  "You can say hello to an Obama second term," Limbaugh continued, "because there will be a third party."  That third party will so divide Republicans and conservatives, Limbaugh suggested, that Obama will win a second term easily.
