Hiding in plain sight: New Hampshire mosque preaches terrorism

Sep 7, 2017 — James Simpson

A concerned New Englander recently arranged for the assessment of the Islamic Society of New Hampshire’s (ISoNH) mosque in Manchester in that state. He had noticed a disproportionate number of military-age males visiting the mosque and heard from many local women who said they were frightened by the attitudes some of these men expressed toward them. The results of the man’s research were more frightening.

P. David Gaubatz, co-author of Muslim Mafia, was hired to assess this mosque. He is a former Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI) federal agent who specialized in Islamic counter-intelligence and counter-terrorism. According to his book, he worked and lived in the Middle East for decades and was the first civilian federal agent in Iraq at the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom (March 2003). That year he led a 15-man team to extract family members of the Iraqi lawyer who helped save Army Private First Class Jessica Lynch. He has investigated over 280 mosques in the U.S. alone and uses a rating system developed by a former Islamist, Tafik Hamid.

BOMBTHROWERS EXCLUSIVE: National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster: A legend or a lie?

Aug 30, 2017 — James Simpson

(language warning) (CORRECTION as to casualty count appears near the bottom of this article)

Fresh on the heels of a successful offensive in Mosul, Iraq, the Iraqi military is now poised to retake Tal Afar, long a hotbed of ISIS and other insurgent activity. Before we pulled out of Iraq, Tal Afar, like Fallujah, had been the focal point of multiple large-scale, costly offensives to eject entrenched insurgents. In 2005, then-Colonel H.R. McMaster led the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment (3rd ACR) in the largest of these offensives, Operation Restoring Rights. His reputation as a brilliant military strategist rests largely on the results of that one battle. Given the widespread support for McMaster in the media and Washington establishment, it is ironic that current reporting largely fails to mention this battle or McMaster’s central role in it.

Make it official: Antifa is a movement of domestic terrorists

Aug 30, 2017 — James Simpson

Some wise soul has created a White House petition to designate antifa a terrorist organization. As of this writing, 314,725 people, including this author, have signed. With the exception of perhaps the Muslim Brotherhood and whatever ISIS/al-Qaeda cells in operation in the U.S., there are few, if any, domestic groups more deserving of that title.

The petition says:

Terrorism is defined as “the use of violence and intimidation in pursuit of political aims”. This definition is the same definition used to declare ISIS and other groups, as terrorist organizations. AntiFa has earned this title due to its violent actions in multiple cities and their influence in the killings of multiple police officers throughout the United States. It is time for the pentagon to be consistent in its actions – and just as they rightfully declared ISIS a terror group, they must declare AntiFa a terror group – on the grounds of principle, integrity, morality, and safety.

Ripping off taxpayers to finance America’s destruction

Jun 27, 2017 — James Simpson

While being investigated for things that never happened and facing Antifa thugs and other lunatic leftists crawling out from under rocks nationwide while the true criminals in the Democratic Party get a free pass, the Trump administration has managed to accomplish, in these few short months, more than George W. Bush accomplished (i.e. things that actually helped America out) in his first term.

Trump is already rolling back big parts of Obama’s train wreck of an agenda and pulling our nation back from the brink and toward some semblance of sanity and the rule of law. One of the latest major changes, and one with significant potential impact on the Left’s ability to wage war against America, is Attorney General Jeff Sessions’s recent announcement that the Department of Justice is ending payments to radical leftist organizations from the multi-billion dollar slush fund amassed by the Obama DoJ’s various industry shakedowns.

Peter Schweizer‘s Government Accountability Institute issued a report in October 2016, “Follow the Money: How the Department of Justice Funds Progressive Activists,” that detailed the stunning amount of money the DoJ has been awarding to left-wing groups. Under Eric Holder’s DoJ, financial institutions paid an unprecedented $110 billion in fines, much of which came in through out-of-court settlements.

When Evangelicals Become Useful Idiots for Islamism

Jun 26, 2017 — James Simpson

American Thinker
Our culture looks to be coming apart at the seams. The June 14 attack on the GOP Congressional Baseball team is only an exclamation point in an increasingly hostile, increasingly violent, premeditated campaign by Democrats and other leftists to create an atmosphere of ungovernable anarchy. The Christian church has not escaped this agenda. In fact, it has become a major target. The Left, in concert with its allies among atheists, Islamists, and the homosexual lobby, is engaged in a multi-front war to destroy what remains of our nation’s Christian bedrock. One of the fronts in this war comes under the innocuous heading “Interfaith Dialog”. It sounds so compelling: a mutually beneficial outreach for “differing faith traditions” to find common ground and join forces to mend the fractious divisions between Muslims, Christians, Jews, and for that matter, practically everyone else.

But that is not what is accomplished. As Robert Spencer repeatedly argues, most Muslims want to live their lives like the rest of us. They want nothing to do with the radical jihadis, Islamic terrorism, or indeed much of the classical interpretations of Islam that classifies women and non-Muslims as second-class citizens. The problem is that while apologists reassure us that we have nothing to fear, those in the forefront of this battle, like the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the hundreds of other Muslim Brotherhood front groups, are determined to use every tactic at their disposal to deconstruct our laws, our Constitution and our religious and secular institutions, to replace them with the Islamic version, Sharia law. As Spencer says, “They take advantage of our ignorance about Islam to mislead people into complacency about Islam.”

American prisoner released by North Korea dies after torture in captivity

Jun 20, 2017 — James Simpson

Our hearts go out to the family of Otto Frederick Warmbier, the young American detained by North Korea in January 2016, who died Monday, just six days following his release from North Korean captivity. He was returned to the U.S. in a coma, which apparently he had been in since his sentencing in March 2016. “It is our sad duty to report that our son, Otto Warmbier, has completed his journey home,” the family said in a statement.

Warmbier was accused of stealing a propaganda banner, and was sentenced last year to 15 years of hard labor. The U.S. Department of State negotiated his release, which, according to the North Koreans, was authorized “on humanitarian grounds.” In an interview with Tucker Carlson, Otto’s father Fred Warmbier said they received invaluable help from the Trump administration and special U.S. envoy Joseph Y. Yun, who interceded on their behalf. “He was very helpful to Cindy and I, and we are really thankful for him. We’re also thankful to [Secretary of State] Rex Tillerson and President Trump. They wanted Otto home, and Cindy and I believe they made this happen, so we’re thankful for that.”

Major Muslim terrorist incident in London

Jun 4, 2017 — James Simpson

(published at 9:30 p.m. Eastern time; final update at 11:58 p.m.)

Multiple terrorist attacks were carried out in London, England, this evening, reportedly by Muslim militants. At about 10 p.m. London time (5 p.m. Eastern) a speeding van jumped onto London Bridge’s sidewalk and mowed down somewhere between 5 and 20 people. According to the latest from the Sun, five men got out of the van and began attacking people with knives. Two or three have been killed by police. At least seven innocents may be dead and another 20 hurt.

U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May said the attack “is being treated as a potential act of terrorism” and that her thoughts were with “those who are caught up in these dreadful events.”

Where is the special prosecutor for Hillary and Barack?

Jun 1, 2017 — James Simpson

Every time I think we have plumbed the depths of stupidity among congressional Republicans, someone comes along to prove that we are so far from the bottom that we can’t even see it.

Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.), supposedly an up-and-coming conservative “star” in the U.S. Senate, proudly announced that the Senate Intelligence Committee had voted to give itself “blanket authority to issue subpoenas” regarding the investigation into Russian election meddling. This means the Democrats have been granted unrestricted license to go after President Trump despite what is obviously a partisan witch hunt.

How could Republicans be so stupid? We have just barely survived eight years of unrestrained criminality by Obama, two successive attorneys general –Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch– who turned the Justice Department into an extremist partisan attack machine that stood the rule of law on its head. We also endured the shenanigans of serial criminal co-conspirator, Hillary Clinton, who gave Russia a 20 percent stake in U.S. weapons-grade uranium production and auctioned off her influence as secretary of state to the highest bidder.

Fourth Circuit outrageously continues block of Trump immigration executive order

May 30, 2017 — James Simpson

Despite the Muslim terrorist attack last week in Manchester, England, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 10 to 3 on Thursday (May 25) to uphold a lower court’s restraining order against President Trump’s executive order limiting travel from terrorism-plagued countries. One would think such a decision to be tone-deaf at best, but like Democrats everywhere, the hyper-partisan Democrat-packed court has gone way beyond its authority.

The Immigration and Nationality Act gives the president clear authority to block any group from entering the country if he considers such a policy to be in the national interest. The courts are not supposed to second-guess the president’s judgment. After all, the president is Commander-in-Chief and has access to secret intelligence. He is obviously in a better position to decide such things than unelected men and women in black robes – and it is his job, not that of the courts. Traditionally the courts have granted the president great deference in such national-security-related matters.

Memorial Day prayer

May 29, 2017 — James Simpson

This is the day we remember those who have fallen in battle, thereby making the supreme sacrifice in service to our great nation. Too many of us don’t fully recognize what this day symbolizes. So I am offering a Memorial Day prayer, both to give my thanks and hopefully help us all be a little more appreciative.

Here it is:

Dear God:

I pray for the fallen, those brave souls who gave their all for this country, never flinching from their duty, whatever they were called to do, and whether the leadership decisions that brought them to their last mission were well considered or not. They have given all they had, without question.

Report: 23,000 jihadis living in Britain

May 28, 2017 — James Simpson

About 23,000 jihadis — potential terrorists — are living in Great Britain today, British intelligence recently revealed.

Approximately 3,000 of these are considered active threats and are being monitored or investigated, the Times of London is reporting. The remaining 20,000 either have been monitored and dropped from the list or cannot be monitored for lack of law enforcement resources. Salman Abedi, the Manchester bomber, was among the latter group. He had been investigated, but was no longer considered a threat. The same is true of Khalid Masood, the terrorist who killed five people and injured 49 in an attack on the Westminster Bridge earlier this year.

The 3,000 currently under surveillance are reportedly the subject of 500 separate investigations. MI-5, Britain’s counterpart to the FBI, does not have sufficient resources to monitor more than 3,000 at any one time. Consider that here in the U.S., the FBI currently has 2,000 ongoing investigations of jihadi terrorists, of which approximately 300 are refugees.

Goddammit! Beyond fed up! Time for talk is OVER!

May 24, 2017 — James Simpson

God forgive me. I was enjoying a rare respite from my work yesterday, when my senses were suddenly assaulted with the news of yet another terrorist slaughter — this time of at least 22, mostly young people and little children, at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England.

Here we go again!

How many families, how many children, how many brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, mothers, and fathers need to die in senseless mass murders before the political class will see the light? How much horrible loss will we as a people tolerate before we scream “Enough!” and pick up torches and pitchforks and literally drag them out of their homes? Are we ever going to reach the breaking point where the deadly consequences of their policies that we have to face every day will finally percolate into their incomprehensibly dense psyches? Will they ever be compelled to do what is right?

James Simpson: I am fed up!

May 21, 2017 — James Simpson

Trump leaked classified information! He tweeted something stupid! He is offending our allies and encouraging our enemies! He is a threat to national security and must resign now! Such are the fanatical ravings coming from the Lords of the Press, the Democrat Party, and a rogues’ gallery of brain-dead Republicans.

I am absolutely sick to death of it!

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), that stalwart example of political grace, politesse, and comity, leveled his stern opinion: “In a week full of revelation after revelation — on a day when we thought things couldn’t get any worse, they have,” he said on the Senate floor. “I say to all of my colleagues in the Senate: History is watching.”

DNC staffer Seth Rich spoke with WikiLeaks before he was murdered

May 17, 2017 — James Simpson

Seth Rich, the Democrat National Committee staffer murdered last summer on Capitol Hill, was speaking with WikiLeaks before he died, according to new reports.

Not satisfied with the pace or direction of the D.C. police investigation, the Rich family hired private detective Rod Wheeler to seek answers. That Rich was in touch with WikiLeaks is just one of the explosive claims Detective Wheeler has made.

The as-yet unsolved murder has been characterized as a botched robbery by D.C. police, even though evidence doesn’t actually point to a robbery. Rich was shot on July 10, 2016 after an apparent struggle, but his wallet, credit cards, cellphone and wristwatch were not taken.

HAMAS Charter redux: Can a leopard change its spots?

May 15, 2017 — James Simpson

One of Israel’s key demands of Palestinians is that the Jewish state be recognized as legitimate. This month the Palestinian terrorist group HAMAS published a revised charter that purports to show the organization has moderated because it dropped the call for Israel’s destruction contained in its original 1988 charter. The new charter contains flowery language about democracy and civil rights “for all,” and makes no mention of the Muslim Brotherhood, even though in the 1988 document it defined itself as a wing of the Muslim Brotherhood. Despite these superficial changes the fundamental goals of HAMAS have not changed.

For decades the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and HAMAS (an Arabic acronym for Islamic Resistance Movement) have played a good cop-bad cop routine on the world stage, with PLO as the “good cop” and HAMAS as the bad. While the PLO has engaged in endless negotiations to “resolve the Palestinian issue,” HAMAS has conducted a virtually non-stop campaign of terror. The West’s efforts to broker a solution highlight the absurd fantasy of this political dance, for how could the PLO ever broker any kind of agreement with Israel while HAMAS plainly rejects all peace efforts? And how are we to take the PLO seriously when its operatives raise their children to be suicide bombers?

Paul Ryan and friends subverting healthcare reform and Trump

Mar 31, 2017 — James Simpson

Donald Trump is being very poorly served by at least one of his most senior advisors, and it is not difficult to tell which one.

Yesterday the president tweeted out a threat to members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, warning them that they had to get on board with his agenda or else.

Why is swamp queen Jamie Gorelick advising Jared Kushner?

Mar 26, 2017 — James Simpson

Recent headlines announced Ivanka Trump would obtain a coveted office in the West Wing of the White House. Breitbart reported on March 20 that, according to Ivanka’s “ethics advisor,” she “will not have an official title, but will get a West Wing office, government-issued communications devices and security clearance to access classified information.” That is curious enough on its own.

But the stunning part is the name of the ethics advisor. The same person also advises Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, who does have a formal position as a senior White House advisor.

This new advisor’s name is Jamie Gorelick.

The Flight 93 election: And what of it?

Mar 15, 2017 — James Simpson

I recently consumed a column by Intercept writer Peter Maass titled “Dark essays by White House staffer are the intellectual source code of Trumpism.”

The target of his invective was Michael Anton, strategic communications director for President Trump’s National Security Council. Last September, Anton wrote a widely read column under the pen name Publius Decius Mus titled “The Flight 93 Election” for the Claremont Institute Review of Books, an intellectually rigorous conservative periodical. It is an excellent exposition of our nation’s condition today, and if you have not already read it, I suggest you do so now.

But Maass saw in it nothing but stupid conspiracy theories and absurd analogies, to wit:

Is political correctness killing U.S. institutions?

Mar 1, 2017 — James Simpson

The concept of “political correctness,” or PC, goes back more than a half century. Over time PC has changed America for the worse. It was invented not to expand discussions but to prevent them through peer pressure and intimidation.

The origins and continuing implications of PC were part of a high-profile panel discussion at the 2017 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) held in a Maryland suburb of Washington, D.C., over this past weekend.

This fascinating panel met on the main stage at CPAC and featured moderator Jan Riordan of the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation, along with a panel consisting of Fox News contributor and Conservative Review columnist Tom Borelli, U.S. Rep. Francis Rooney (R-Fla.), College Republican National Committee chairman Alex Smith, and Capital Research Center president Scott Walter. It was a wide-ranging discussion, delving into the history of political correctness, its impact in culture and business, the dumbing down of education, and what the future may hold.
