Of course, it involves the "M Word". Just before I once again turned off Hugh Hewitt this morning, he said that Red Flag laws carefully drawn and hardening schools would solve the school gun shooting problem. The cost for two highly trained officers in each school in the US would cost about $45,000,000,000.00 a year. And, carefully drawn Red Flag laws wouldn't jeopardize gun ownership. Of course Hewitt is a typical middle of the road Republican claiming to be a Conservative, only concerned with real liberty as a concept. 

Security or Liberty - The Choice Is Once Again Ours

As a US diplomat was poised to return from Poland to the American Embassy in Kiev,  she made a  blatant public comment saying  "Putin you lost."  While the diplomat may believe what she said, Putin's forces are slowly but surely advancing in the South and working their way to Odessa and points West. It appears that they are consolidating their gains,  and while Ukraine's resistance may ultimately force Russia to a cease fire, the cost of that cease fire will be a cession of as much land as Russia can occupy up until the guns fall silent; and after that, it would take a full scale international war to restore Ukraine's borders to their pre 2014  status.

Russia is now establishing the message, method and means for cutting Ukraine off from the Black Sea with a full occupation of the Southern "corridor" all the way to Transnistria.

THE WEST DESERVES TO FALL

The battle in Ukraine is not merely about Ukraine, any more than Russia's attack on Poland in 1939 was merely about Poland, or Russia's attack on Finland a month after the Russian slaughter in Poland was about Finland. I listen to Russia's threats (at least to how they are translated) stating that the West is risking serious repercussions if it continues to help Ukraine. I listen to cautious statements from the West that Ukraine should only use the weapons being sent to Ukraine as defensive weapons, and my stomach hurts so much I feel as if I am going to puke.

The Price for Western Aid is Ceding Russia More of Ukraine

Zelensky will inevitably declare to his people that they have been sold out by the West, that they gave up their nuclear weapons for nothing - that Ukraine will be broken up, and may eventually lose its independence, regardless of how much Ukrainians are willing to fight. This is in spite of Zelensky's current position that: "There can be no compromise on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and will not be" Neo-Conservative voices are seemingly fixated on how Putin is losing the war in Ukraine; that Putin underestimated Ukrainian resistance.

Bringing Words to a Gun Fight

Regardless of when and where Putin stops - the West has lost the war. To put this in perspective we need only look at a past war that was in every sense raging as early as 1931, even if it only made its formal debut as a World War in 1939. The Allies may  have won the Second World War, but by ceding Eastern Europe and  North Korea to the USSR they lost peace and brought about several more wars and years of societal misery in numerous countries.

This is a timely message I strongly believe should be disseminated. If we are honest with ourselves, we must see that what is aired on “Conservative” radio and printed in “Conservative” media are almost exclusively descriptions and analyses of the encroachments into our Liberty, a continuing discussion of the politics of the day, a never ending litany of depressing facts. Lacking within the given information in print and on the airwaves are actual solutions - those things we can do to defend ourselves. The most direct action is to pull the financial plug on the fascists infecting our county. – Basically, get in their pocketbooks.
