Sarah Palin, leader of the pack

So, who do I like as our republican presidential candidate in 2012? Parodying the song recorded by The Shangri-Las: "The liberal media is always putting her down (down, down). They said, she came from the wrong said of town. They told us she was bad. Then I knew she was the best we had. That's when I fell for the leader of the pack." Who am I singing about? Obviously, the one and only Sarah Palin.

A patriot’s wedding

Folks, this has nothing to do with politics, but I feel compelled to share it with you. Mary and I attended a wonderful wedding. A friend of mine of thirty years lost his wife to cancer. After his devastating loss, God blessed him to meet a lovely lady. They fell in love, decided to marry and he asked me to be his best man.

What’s your tea party story?

I was thinking the other day about the extraordinary chain of events which lead to me being involved in the Tea Party movement. I had been a singer/songwriter for years in the music business. Ten years ago, this led to an Orlando based entertainment company offering me the job of my dreams. Mary and I sold our Maryland home and moved to Orlando, FL.

Time to pull the cloak of invisibility off of black conservatives

CNN traveled with us on Tea Party Express, to approximately 40 rallies nationwide. I, a black conservative, opened each rally singing my "American Tea Party Anthem." And yet, not I nor any of the other blacks on our team were seen in the CNN documentary; thus, causing viewers to conclude the Tea Party Movement is a "white thing.

Liberal Dominance: You’re Not in Kansas Anymore!

Attention patriots. Captain Lloyd Marcus of the Tea Party Army reporting on my mission in Hutchinson Kansas. I was the keynote speaker for the Hutchinson Tea Party. Our Kansas patriots are strong, committed and warm salt of the earth great people.

Liberalism, black America’s greatest enemy

I recently had another cherished chat over the phone with my 84 year old black dad. He lives in Maryland. I live in Florida. Dad, sharp as ever, still pastors four churches. He also volunteers a few days a week teaching at an elementary school.

Stay strong, my brother & sister patriots

I've gotten defeatist emails from patriots who basically say, "It is hopeless. America's system of government is totally corrupt, broken beyond repair. Both sides, republican and democrat, suck. We are no longer a Christian nation. Mr. Marcus you are wasting your time naively thinking your "tea partying" across America will make a difference." Quoting one of my dad's favorite idioms from when I was a kid, I say, "Good grief." Patriots, lighten up. Yes, we are fighting deep rooted corruption, an extremely well funded socialist/progressive agenda, a relentless liberal bias media and a powerful, lawless and evil Obama administration.

The left: They’re goin’ after our kids

Brother and Sister patriots; As I write this article, my heart is full, almost tearful. I just watched a moving music video by Diamond Rio, "In God We Still Trust", which is being banned by radio stations around our great country. My heart is heavy because more and more God, patriotism and everything we hold dear are under vicious attacks by "The Left."

Lloyd Marcus:  Mr. Tea Party goes to San Francisco

Hi Patriots. I just returned home to Florida from San Francisco where I emceed a fund raiser for the "Campaign To Defeat Barack Obama in 2012." I am also a Vice Chair. On the airplane, CNN was available, Fox News was not. I faced the same scenario in my hotel room. In my travels to over 200 tea parties, San Francisco was the first city where Fox News was not available in my hotel room.

Caution: American dreams are contagious!

A funny thing about American dreams, upon building up enough momentum, they become contagious. Mary and I were young newlyweds, both divorcées. We were also in the process of turning our lives around after actively pursing the '60's peace, love and drug culture life style. We reconnected with our faith. Still, neither had Mary nor I begun to even realize, let alone tap into our potential.

Jesse Jackson: Stop playin’ us bro, insulting our intelligence

I always think, "How can I explain this so that my brother David will understand." Don't get me wrong, David is extremely bright. I consider David in that group of Americans who do not listen to talk radio, watch Foxnews or follow politics closely. David works hard, coaches children's football and raises his family. David's political news consists of catching sound bites here and there from the liberal mainstream media.

Obama calling tea party racist reveals a far more disturbing reality

Please consider the validity of what I am about to say rather than having a knee jerk reaction dismissing it as being "over the top." Folks, we have an irresponsible egocentric evil man occupying the Oval Office. The democrats and the liberal mainstream media sold the American people on Obama, "the man." Despite Obama's zero experience at running anything, they said a leader with his spirit and heart was "what we have been waiting for."

To save America, we must dethrone King Obama

Incredibly, Obama continues to boldly go where no other president has gone before. Apparently, none of the rules apply to him. Without consequence, at will, Obama ignores laws and the Constitution to implement his progressive/socialist agenda.

Two brief refreshing American tales

With teachers' unions and everybody and his brother demanding entitlements; me, me, me, gimme, gimme, gimme, these two people give me hope. The American Spirit is alive and well.

Liberal media gives black racism from the WH a pass

Just when we think the liberal media's hypocrisy could not be more blatant, they kick it to the next level. They have obviously abandoned any pretense of fair and honest reporting.

ObamaCare Furthers Black Genocide

Thirty four hundred per day. I thought, per day? No, this can’t be true. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Over thirty four hundred babies are aborted in America every day. Wow! Despite Democrat U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer’s feeble attempt to spin the truth otherwise, Obama’s Health Care Law does offer taxpayer funded abortions.

Budget wars: have we lost my mom’s America?

My mom, a black woman, when we were living in an east Baltimore ghetto, cried upon hearing Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz were getting a divorce. My parents, four younger siblings and I loved watching the Andy Griffith show.
