A Christian church in Egypt was recently torched to the ground. According to a
statement by the Coptic Christian diocese in Minya, Upper Egypt: “The Virgin Mary Church in Ismailiyah, which is about four miles north of Minya, was exposed to an attack by some extremists who set fire to and completely destroyed it around 2 a.m., Thursday morning, May 12.” A
video shows the structure burning as Christians scurry to throw pails of water on it.

In the ongoing struggle between Islam and the West, one important fact is regularly overlooked: one civilization has the will to triumph, but not the way; the other has the way to triumph, but not the will.
Some who dread Islam do not seem to understand this. They think that Islam is an irresistible force to be reckoned with; they see Muslim migrants as hordes of violent men invading Europe; they call on Western men to make a stand, resist the onslaught, save their women and children.

Despite Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s many pluralistic
words and
gestures, which have won him much praise from the nation’s Christians and moderates, he appeases the Islamist agenda in one very clear way: by allowing the controversial defamation of religions law, colloquially known as the “blasphemy law,” to target Christians and moderates in ways arguably worse than under the Muslim Brotherhood and Morsi.

Boko Haram, the Nigerian Islamic extremist group, has
killed more people in the name of jihad than the Islamic State (ISIS), according to the findings of a new
report. Since 2000, when twelve Northern Nigerian states began implementing or more fully enforcing Islamic law, or Sharia, "between 9,000 to 11,500 Christians" have been killed. This is "a conservative estimate."
