A Walk through History

imageThe Potomac River shines through the barren trees. The marina nearby is empty although the weather is balmy for late November. I can hear the laughter of children playing at the water’s edge. I feel lucky and privileged to walk on Lee’s historical trail in Leesylavania Woods, Virginia. A white marble obelisk in the middle of a roundabout draws my attention. It is dedicated to Henry Lee III, “Light Horse Harry,” 1756-1818, whose accomplishments are inscribed on the simple monument:

Pushing Back the Socialist Agenda in Education

As the Americans’ indifference to the destruction of our country intensifies, the indoctrination and brainwashing from the left of our citizens and of their children accelerates.

Explosion of Immigrants

Census Bureau figures disclosed that the number of foreign-born residents in the United States, legal and illegal, reached 40 million last year, the highest in American history. Fourteen million immigrants came to America between 2000-2010. The Bureau reports that, of the 40 million total foreign-born residents, 10-12 million are likely illegal.

Green Energy Is Awash in Red Ink

American people are beginning to notice that the “green energy” is not so green after all, it is awash in red ink. “Green jobs” were being promised all over Europe when Spanish voters swept into power the Socialist party in 2004. More entitlements and withdrawal from the war in the Middle East were the icing on the cake. The Socialists presided initially over a period of sustained economic growth. Today Spain has 5 million unemployed, a huge public debt, and the “indignados” (the indignants) who are a small and disruptive minoritarios.

Codex Alimentarius and Initium

We are a nation in great decline, attacked from many fronts by issues born fifty years ago and bearing fruit now, and by individuals who do not hold our nation’s interests at heart. We are plagued by corruption at all levels of government, the shredding of our Constitution, by stoked hatred, class envy, drugs, anarchists, occupiers, violence, anti-Americanism, perverse Hollywood lifestyles, indolence, anti-Christianity, Sharia Law, UN Agenda 21, and communism worship.

Drinking Global Warming Propaganda

imageOn a recent flight, I was handed a bright, red and white napkin with cute polar bears on both sides with the logo, "Together We Can Help Protect Their Home." The Coca Cola famous trademark was augmented by the words, "Arctic Home." I decided to check their Arctic Home website. It was exquisitely done, with soothing, sleep-inducing sounds of ocean waves and beautiful shots of polar bears in their Arctic habitat. The site explained, "Our goal, in partnership with the World Wildlife Fund, is to raise awareness and funds to help create a safe haven for polar bears on Arctic refuge. As a symbol of our commitment, for the first time ever, we are turning our red Coca Cola can white. Please join us by making a donation so the polar bear always has a place to call home."

SEIU Endorses Obama Re-Election

As I read the memorandum in front of me, I am amazed how blind Americans are, how naïve, ignorant, credulous, and unable to discern fact from fiction, reality from fantasy. How much more proof do they need before they realize our country is on the path of purposeful destruction?

Encounter with Occupiers in D.C.

imageWalking down Pennsylvania Avenue on a blustery day, I encountered one of the makeshift squalid camps of Occupy D.C. The colorful and dingy tents were empty. A few homeless people were milling about waiting for capitalist lunch delivery to the camp. They would have had to wait a long time under communism to have anything delivered free. If you did not work, you did not get food or shelter. Environmentalists, anarchists, and communists want us to live this way in filth, squalor, no electricity, no water, and no sewage, all in the name of saving the planet. These occupiers are their ideal useful idiots.

Walking in the Woods with Bogart

imageI am walking in the dense woods with Bogart, my Snowshoe Siamese who thinks he is a dog. He is crisscrossing my path as leaves and twigs crunch under my foot. I carefully watch my step. Patches of marshy soil glisten here and there, perfect muddy traps. Bogart stops now and then wondering why I am so slow – his inquisitive back glances are reassuring. His marbles-sized blue eyes watch for every move around him. When he runs ahead and I lose sight of him, I know exactly where he is – the tall and yellowing blades of grass are moving in a wave pattern.

OWS Rushing USA to Point of No Return

Bumping into Agenda 21 at the National Building Museum

National Building MuseumToday I visited the National Building Museum, a private, non-profit organization. The exhibits occupied about ten percent of the building. The rest were halls for lectures and other activities. The imposing, three-story atrium was being readied for a lavish fund-raising gala and was being draped in shades of arresting purple, imitating a huge circus tent, three stories high, in line with the leit-motif, “the cirque.” It did not take long to exhaust the exhibits and the Lego construction room, show casing a few famous landmarks built to scale from hundreds of thousands of grey and clear Lego pieces.

Oath of Office

We never give it a thought when we sign our names to a 78-page document agreeing to whatever terms and conditions the document entails. We are in a hurry to use the new game, application, or program that our computers and electronic gadgets are downloading.

Reformulating “No Child Left Behind Act” the Pelosi Way

Congress passed in 1965 the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), which provided federal funding for K-12 education. The ESEA encompasses Title I, the federal government’s flagship aid program for disadvantaged students. The ESEA has been renewed eight times, most recently by the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB).

“Thousands to Encircle the White House”

The Super Committee

The Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction or as it is known in popular parlance, “The Super Committee,” has a deadline to meet. As November 23 approaches, 12 Congresspersons must make a decision on debt reduction in order to bring under control the lavish spending of the last three years that is threatening our national security.
