Government Takeover of the Internet Begins

In a vote along party lines, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approved what amounts to a government takeover of the Internet. FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler and his fellow Democrats, Mignon Clyburn and Jessica Rosenworcel, approved placing the Internet under Title II regulations.

DHS Funding Battle Goes Down to the Wire

Unless the issue is resolved between now and Friday, there will be a "shutdown" of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) due to the GOP's determination to withhold funding for President Obama's dubious immigration agenda. The quotes around the word shutdown reflect the fatuousness behind the hysteria being whipped up by the Obama administration and their media allies.

ISIS Trafficking Human Organs?

If reports coming out of Iraq are accurate, the depraved savagery of ISIS has reached yet another new low. According to Iraqi Ambassador to the United Nations Mohamed Alhakim, ISIS is harvesting human organs to finance its war operations--and has executed a dozen doctors for failing to go along with the program.

The Muslim Brotherhood-ISIS Connection

President Obama's ongoing antipathy towards Egypt is no accident. Our feckless president has long had a soft spot in his heart for the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), and Egypt's removal of the terror group from the corridors of power has rankled the administration. So what is it the Egyptians understand and our president denies? The Egyptian Minister of Religious Endowments insists that ISIS was birthed by the MB.

Obama's Internet Power Grab

In a completely unsurprising development, one of the two Republican Commissioners on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has made it clear the Obama administration's effort to regulate the Internet is nothing more than another government power grab.

One Million Child Victims of Muslim Rape Gangs in the U.K.?

In a gut-wrenching development, it may turn out that last year's report detailing a decade-and-a-half of sexual exploitation inflicted on at least 1,400 children from Rotherham, England--and the PC-driven effort to cover it up--may represent the proverbial tip of the iceberg. The city's Labor MP Sarah Champion believes as many as one million children may have been victimized, describing it as a "national disaster" that requires the establishment of a task force to deal with the "horror."

The Plight of the Yazidis

Despite the current focus on ISIS, the ongoing barbarity inflicted against the Yazidis, a group of people who have inhabited Iraq's mountainous northwestern region for centuries, remains largely below the radar. And while this estimated population of approximately 500,000 has been the target of hatred by Muslims who see them as heretical devil-worshipers, ISIS has upped the ante. While the world largely looks away, a genocidal level of extermination proceeds apace. "Our entire religion is being wiped off the face of the earth," warned Yazidi leader Vian Dakhil--last August.

ISIS Burns Jordanian Pilot to Death

The bloodthirsty barbarity of ISIS has reached a new low. A video released by the Islamic terror group shows captured Jordanian pilot, First Lt. Moaz al-Kasasbeh, inside a cage. A trail of lit gasoline eventually engulfs him in flame, burning him alive.

Japan Targeted by ISIS

A video entitled "A Message to the Government and People of Japan" posted online Tuesday (and since removed) shows a purported ISIS thug brandishing a knife and standing between two Japanese hostages. The masked, British-accented terrorist demanded a $200 million ransom payment from Japan within 72 hours.

Huckabee on God, Guns, Grits and Gravy

Mike Huckabee's latest book, "God, Guns, Grits, and Gravy" is an entertaining compendium of the former Arkansas Governor's take on a number of the salient political issues of the day. And as the title suggests, that point of view emanates from a proud member of "flyover country."

Cyber Insecurity

In a coincidence many Americans may see as emblematic of the administration's approach to global terror, President Obama was addressing the nation regarding cyber security Monday while hackers claiming to represent ISIS assumed control over the media accounts of the U.S. military's Central Command (CENTCOM). "ISIS is already here, we are in your PCs, in each military base. With Allah's permission we are in CENTCOM now," said one tweet sent from CENTCOM's account.

Greek Radical Left on the March

Greece is once again at the center of the European Union storm. Following the failure of the Athens parliament to elect a president in late December, Syriza, aka The Coalition of the Radical Left, is poised to assume the reins of power.

Boehner Survives

The ideological differences between the establishment GOP and the party's conservative wing became more evident yesterday during the latest election for Speaker of the House. Hours before the vote, a "dump Boehner" movement aimed at denying the Ohio Republican a third term appeared to be gaining momentum. "A fresh start often requires change, and I believe that change should start with the election of a new Speaker," wrote Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) on his Facebook page.

The ‘Good War’ Obama Surrendered

The ‘Good War’ Obama Surrendered
On Christmas Day at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, followed by a White House press release on Dec. 28, President Obama announced the end of the war in Afghanistan. "We've been in continuous war now for almost thirteen years--over 13 years," he said, "and next week we will be ending our combat mission in Afghanistan. Obviously, because of the extraordinary service of the men and women in the American armed forces, Afghanistan has a chance to rebuild its own country. We are safer. It's not going to be a source of terrorist attacks again," he added.

Trouble in Berkeley, Missouri

Trouble in Berkeley, Missouri
Another seemingly justified police shooting near Ferguson, MO briefly followed a sadly predictable script. In nearby Berkeley, a white police officer, aged 34, fired three shots, killing black American Antonio Martin, aged 18. The officer was responding to a report of stealing at a Mobil on the Run gas station. Martin allegedly pulled a 9mm handgun on the six-year veteran, who stumbled backwards as he fired, striking Martin once. "He will carry the weight of this for the rest of his life, certainly for the rest of his career," said St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar, referring to the unidentified officer. "There are no winners here."

Army Chaplain Punished for Mentioning Faith

Apparently, the Obama administration's ostensible determination to foster "diversity" in the military is a one-way street. Army Chaplain Joseph Lawhorn was disciplined for mentioning his faith and the Bible as part of a November suicide prevention training seminar with the 5th Ranger Training Battalion. "You provided a two-sided handout that listed Army resources on one side and a biblical approach to handling depression on the other side," wrote Col. David Fivecoat, commander of the Airborne and Ranger Training Brigade at Ft. Benning, Georgia, in an official Letter of Concern. "This made it impossible for those in attendance to receive the resource information without also receiving the biblical information."

Obama's 'Operation Choke Point'

Almost unbelievably, the Obama administration is involved in another scandalous abuse of power, one that has largely escaped the public's attention. The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee released a report December 8 detailing the abuses by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), operating under the auspices of a program known as Operation Choke Point. Run by the Departments of Justice and Treasury, Operation Choke Point was supposed to target illegal businesses and prevent them from obtaining access to the U.S. financial system.

Taliban School Slaughter

Taliban School Slaughter, Islamic child sacrifice reaches grisly new low in Pakistan
The mind-numbing savagery of radical Islam plumbed new depths in Pakistan yesterday. Taliban terrorists shouting "Allahu akbar" attacked the Army Public School and Degree College in Peshawar, slaughtering 142 people, including 132 children between the ages of six and 16. Another 10 staff members, including the principal, were also murdered. "They didn't take any hostages initially and started firing in the hall," said Maj. Gen. Asim Bajwa, a military spokesman.
