Freedom of Association Includes Religion

THE FIRST AMENDMENT ENUMERATES the right of the people peaceably to assemble. Originally, the text combined assembly with the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances. During the session of the House of Representatives on August 15, 1789 during which the representatives present discussed the proposed amendment, Mr. Sedgwick of Massachusetts questioned the connection, arguing the right to assemble must be preserved regardless of the reason for assembly.

Liberty Fading

With time things wither away. We lose our youth, our friends, and our things. As with life, liberty has grown old, and is at risk of being forgotten and tossed aside.

Canadian Anthem: "All Lives Matter" at MLB All-Star Game

The suggestion that the term "All Lives Matter" should be apologized for if uttered, or in this case, sung, is absolutely ridiculous - and in truth, racist. Is the Black Lives Matter crowd saying that only their lives matter, and all other lives are dispensable?

Little Known American Founder: Elizabeth Powel

By name, most folks may not recognize Elizabeth Powel from American History. Her identity is revealed when we realize Elizabeth Powel was the woman in a bonnet met by Benjamin Franklin on a grassy hill after the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention. She asked, "Sir, what have you given us? A monarchy, or a republic?" Franklin responded, "A republic, ma'am, if you can keep it."

Sexuality Slippery Slope

Slippery Slope. Once you begin down it, the devastating consequences multiply quickly. In a society based on virtuous values and an understood moral code, a man and a woman get married, and they have children. The kids call their parents father and mother, or mom and dad. The parents teach the children their values, and the kids carry out what they learned when they become adults, and the cycle continues and continues as long as the society wishes to remain within those virtuous boundaries.

Time Enough for Collapse

At a meeting of patriots I attended, where the attendees were the kind of people who desire to either reclaim the republic, or survive the coming collapse if (or maybe we should say "when") it happens, after I explained the importance of the United States returning to being a godly nation, and educating the country about the original intent of the United States Constitution in order for us to have the opportunity to reclaim the republic, a person raised his hand and said (I'm paraphrasing here), "There's not enough time to educate people.

Time To Unite Behind Trump

Is Donald Trump the perfect Republican Candidate? Absolutely not. Is he a Republican in the first place? I think he might be, but overall he's a wild card. Is Donald Trump a better candidate than the other GOP candidates he beat? In some cases, but not in all of them. Is Donald Trump a better candidate for President of the United States than Hillary Clinton? You bet your bottom dollar he is.

Holocaust Remembrance

May 1 is known by some as May Day. A communist, anti-God celebration of the death of freedom and the rise of the tyranny of socialism. On May 1, 2016, however, the day also served as Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Islamic Nations Within Nations

The first two international wars fought by the United States after our founding were the Barbary Wars. Through the Washington and Adams administrations the United States paid tributes to the Muslim Barbary States in the hope of keeping our passage across the Atlantic, and more specifically in the Mediterranean, safe from from attacks by Islamic ships.

Heinlein and the Tree of Liberty

In addition to being a political junkie, and advocate for the original intent of the United States Constitution, I am a science fiction fan. Among the reasons for me being a science fiction fan is that in SciFi, especially when it comes to the biggest writers of that genre, the opportunity exists to apply various political concepts to a myriad of unknown societies. Often, the political leanings of the author corrupts the reactions the characters have to those political systems, but often a nugget of truth emerges that even the writer may not expect.

BLM Tyranny

According to Article I, Section 8, aside from adding territory as spoils from war, the only way the federal government can own property is if they "purchase" it with the "consent" of the State legislature for the purpose of "needful buildings." Much of the land west of the Mississippi River owned by the federal government was not obtained in either manner. As a result, the Bureau of Land Management unconstitutionally regulates/manages (or should I say "mismanages") a massive portion of the United States.

Trump Majority

The historical run for president by billionaire Donald Trump has been filled with potholes, pitfalls, and protests. With many voters, there is little middle ground with the guy. Either you love him, or you hate him. . . well, hate his decision to try to become President of the United States, anyway. He's being called "nationalist" and "populist" by the media, but an "establishment killer" by his supporters.
