Americans Paid for the Internet, We Deserve Free Speech On It

Americans Paid for the Internet, We Deserve Free Speech On It“But, it’s a private company.” It’s a familiar argument. Bring up the problem of Google, Facebook and Twitter suppressing conservative speech and many conservatives will retort that it’s a free market. The big dot com monopolies created their own companies, didn’t they? And we wouldn’t want government regulation of business.

A Dozen People Were Shot in Buttigieg's City While He Ran for President

A Dozen People Were Shot in Buttigieg's City While He Ran for PresidentIn early April, South Bend Police Chief Scott Ruszkowski had two concerns. His boss, Mayor Peter Buttigieg, was preparing to formally announce his presidential run. The blighted Rust Belt city, riddled with gangs and bodies, was Buttigieg's platform. The bodies were Chief Ruszkowski's other concern.

Latin America is Collapsing and Taking America With It

Latin America is Collapsing and Taking America With ItLong before the current scenes of thousands of migrants showing up in New Mexico or Arizona, the northward migration was fueled by a combination of Latin American instability and American greed for cheap labor going back over a century to the Mexican Revolution.

The Brainwashing of a Nation

The Brainwashing of a NationBrainwashing isn’t a secretive event that takes place in hidden rooms. No hypnotists or vials full of chemicals are required. It takes place every day on a massive scale across the United States. Unlike Raymond Shaw in The Manchurian Candidate, brainwashing does not turn people into hypnotized zombies who would be ready to kill a presidential candidate at a command. Instead, it transforms them into the sort of people who would be willing to kill someone for political reasons.

8 Years of Media Lies About the Syrian Civil War Exposed

Der Spiegel said Claas Relotius, one of its top journalists, had fabricated parts of more than a dozen storiesThe end of the big lie about the origins of the Syrian Civil War began on the Arizona border. Claas Relotius, a German reporter for Der Spiegel, had written a piece about being embedded with a militia patrolling the Arizona border for illegal migrants. Gullible German leftist readers were regaled with tales of the militia, whose leader called Mexicans "bean eaters" and, at the end of the article, opened fire into the night. It was one of a series of Relotius articles delving into Trump country with novelistic accounts of pro-Trump Americans that confirmed all the stereotypes of Der Spiegel’s readers.

Declare War on Russia or Shut Up

Declare War on Russia or Shut UpThe Mueller Report has come and gone leaving behind neither collusion nor obstruction. But in the time that has passed, the Democrats have shown that they won’t give up their pet conspiracy theory. The post-Mueller efforts of House Democrats to interest the public in scandals about White House security clearances and Trump's tax returns failed miserably because they lacked the drama, the unfolding layers of conspiracies, and the delegitimization of the 2016 election that Russiagate offers.

America is a Reality, Not an Idea

America is a Reality, Not an Idea“America is an idea," Joe Biden gravely intoned, as he threw the 21st hat onto the overcrowded hat rack of the Democrat primaries already groaning under the weight of all the trilbys, clown caps and hijabs.

Should Cory Booker Pay Slavery Reparations to Himself?

Should Cory Booker Pay Slavery Reparations to Himself?Senator Cory Booker has promised to introduce a bill to study a proposal for slavery reparations. The bill will be a companion to a bill by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee who had once declared on the House floor, “I stand here as a freed slave.” Since Sheila also believed that there are two Vietnams, that the Constitution is 400 years old, and that Neil Armstrong planted a flag on Mars, that may have been metaphor or the addled understanding of a woman who confused Wikileaks and Wikipedia.

The Islamic Hate That Killed a Little Jewish Girl Still Haunts France

The Islamic Hate That Killed a Little Jewish Girl Still Haunts FranceSeven years ago, Mohammed Merah pointed a gun at the head of 7-year-old Miriam Monsonego. The blonde little girl was the daughter of the school principal and moments ago had been playing in a French schoolyard. The Monsonego family were Jewish immigrants from Morocco. The Ozar HaTorah school invaded by the Muslim terrorist was home to the children of Jewish refugees from North Africa and the Middle East who had fled to France after their countries had fallen to Muslim rule.

Democrats and the Antisemitism Trap

Democrats and the Antisemitism TrapEvery few weeks, some political or national figure demands a national conversation about race. (Most recently, Senator Kamala Harris insisted, “We have not had these honest discussions about race.”) What does a conversation about race mean? Invariably, an indictment of the fundamental unfairness of our country, the historical roots of racism in white supremacy, and the national guilt of white people.

2020 Dems Prove More Women in Politics Won't Fix Sexual Harassment

2020 Dems Prove More Women in Politics Won't Fix Sexual HarassmentIt’s no secret that the top ranks of the Democrat 2020 field have a #MeToo problem. Joe Biden is a walking #MeToo outrage. And one of his presidential campaign leftovers was recently dumped by Schumer’s office for “inappropriate encounters”. Bernie Sanders once wrote, "A woman enjoys intercourse with her man as she fantasizes being raped by 3 men simultaneously." His campaign was a swamp of sexism, sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior by staffers and political allies.

The Post Child Democrat Party

The Post Child Democrat Party'“Is it okay to still have children?” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez wondered while making a salad. “It’s basically like, there is a scientific consensus that the lives of children are going to be very difficult and it does lead, I think young people, to have a legitimate question.”

The Narcosocialist Republic of California

The Narcosocialist Republic of CaliforniaIn California, history, like everything else, repeats itself as farce. Governor Gavin Newsom came into office announcing that he was canceling high-speed rail to nowhere, doubling down on high-speed rail to nowhere, and pulling the National Guard from, what he called, Trump's "manufactured crisis" at the border to deal with the greatest threat to California. Pot.

What Taxing the Rich Did to Warren and Ocasio Cortez's States

What Taxing the Rich Did to Warren and Ocasio Cortez's StatesTax time is usually an unhappy time for taxpayers, but a joyous time for government employees and the welfare class that gets more in “refunds” than it ever pays in taxes. But this year, tax time is a depressing time for the taxmasters in the big blue states.

The Media's Tribal War on Americans

The Media's Tribal War on AmericansWhy did the media fall so swiftly for the Jussie Smollett hoax right after falling for the Covington Catholic hoax? The easy answer is bias. And that might have even been the right answer a generation ago. These days the media isn’t biased. It’s tribal.
