Consolation on DHS Fail

Like many conservatives, fighters for liberty, and mainstream Americans who wanted a robust fight for the Constitution and against President Obama's executive amnesty, I was very disappointed that Boehner and Co, pushed a dirty DHS funding bill, dirty because it was cleansed of the necessary riders blocking funds for illegal executive orders.

Waiter, Make Sure My Steak Moos only Once!

I’ve been told it many times, “One of these days you’re going to push your luck too far”. It’s because I stress to waiters I want my steak “blue”. The worst that can happen is it arrives rare. But what is the risk of a blue steak? And can well done steak be bad for the heart?

The NSA spied on everyone--other than Hillary Clinton

From the ‘Believe it or Not Department’ of the cunning Obama administration: America’s National Security Agency (NSA) retrieves and stockpiles millions of incoming and outgoing emails of government agencies and from the public at large--but not any coming in or going out from Hillary Clinton’s private home email accounts!

World War II Vet: "I Was Young"

A couple of years ago at a Veteran's Day event in Hemet, California, I had the opportunity to talk to a 92-year-old World War II veteran. Today I spoke with an 89-year-old World War II veteran. Both said the same thing to me. "It was hell, but I was proud to serve."

The Serious Side of Funny Man Stan Evans

As we witness a former KGB spy preside over Russia’s re-emergence, in alliance with Communist China, as well as Marxism taking control of country after country in Latin America, we can now understand that declarations of victory over communism were premature

I Never Stole Again

Mark Twain must have stolen a few watermelons when he was a boy. That is why he once said, “The true Southern watermelon is a boon apart, not to be mentioned with commoner things. It is king by the grace of God over all the fruits of the earth. When one has tasted it, he knows what angels eat. It was not a Southern watermelon that Eve took. We know it because she repented.”

America's Military Power in a Steep Decline

“Eliminating the terrorists of today with force will not guarantee protection from the terrorists of tomorrow. We have to transform the environments that give birth to these movements…It may be training young people so they can get jobs…it may be working to eliminate corruption and promote the rule of law…”

UK Winter Precipitation – As Unpredictable As Ever

A year ago, we were told that the wet winter was due to climate change. Apparently the climate has changed again, because this rainfall is pretty much back to average this winter. The consensus of Dr Slingo [the Met Office Chief Scientist] and her pals is that “climate change” will lead to wetter winters. (This is except when we get a cold, dry one, which is then blamed on the melting Arctic). The reality is that none of them have a clue what the next month will bring, never mind the next century. --Paul Homewood, Not A Lot Of People Know That, 6 March 2015

The WHY of Obama

The president is not a stupid man. He may be cunning, devious, easily given to retribution, a monstrous ideologue, an Islamic terrorist denier, and a socialist at heart. But he is not stupid.

Video: The Leader of the Free World isn't Obama

He’s the Leader of the Free World, elected by a civilized nation: militarily powerful because of, and not in spite of, it’s cultural commitment to science and art and medicine.

Thank the Lord Rush Limbaugh's On

Walking out to my shed to work on a project, I thought, what if I turn on the radio and Rush is not there. It was unsettling. Please forgive me folks. My intention is not to be morbid, but that day will inevitably come; prayerfully many years from now.

Freedom to Farm or Bust

Virginia, like many other states, offers land preservation tax credits of $100 million a year. Land preservation tax credits are tied to conservation easements which are binding agreements between a land preservation trust (usually a NGO) and a farmer who receives tax breaks in exchange for “legally restricting future development of their property” for a number of years or in perpetuity, as specified in the contract.
