While one political party is destroying the economy, increasing taxes, reducing the number of jobs, reducing government revenues, increasing the national debt, compromising national security and reducing the standard of living of all…
…the other party is busy arguing why it lost the presidential election and whose fault it is.
I am very concerned about the comments directed by some conservatives towards other conservatives.
I recognize the differences between more conservative and more libertarian currents, but I will not linger on the differences.
We must not fall into the trap of "personal gain", struggling for positions of power within the party. There is no power in responsibility. All the power eventually comes from above.
I suggest we should distinguish between "goals" and "practical feasibility" in affecting government.
To my tea party friends I would suggest to keep the goals frequently present in the mind of the people, such as reduced government, simplification of the tax system to one "fair tax", total government outsourcing, reduced regulations and a host of other needed reforms. However, I would also suggest them to support those individuals within the Republican party who propose any incremental change that is compatible with those objectives.
To my Republican friends I suggest that they should consider tea party ideas for the long term, even if they do not seem feasible at the time. Instead of discounting such ideas as "impossible", or "radical". I suggest keeping those ideas as a target, even if more pragmatic steps need to be enacted in the short term.
We can all agree on small steps towards big goals.
We need to stop the quarrels and work together in delivering our message to uninformed voters.
Our message should be clear and concise:
Conservative policies and reduced government size will improve the condition of the poor. True compassion is not promising to spend other people's money and showing concern on TV, but spending the time to solve the problems in "reality". Conservatives are "in reality" improving the conditions of the underprivileged, the poor and the jobless. Conservatives are "truly" defending the life and dignity of all, through their personal generosity and through economic policies that promote a healthy job market, where people with skills at any level are in demand regardless of age, education, sex and race.
Let the people who have the initiative, the knowledge and the resources create wealth. That means more jobs, safe working conditions, higher salaries, more security and a better standard of living for all.

On a lighter note…
I can suggest a better line of defense for Jodi Arias who is accused of shooting her ex-boyfriend in the face, stabbing him 29 times and slitting his throat from ear to ear. Her lawyer should say to the Jury, with a raised and almost angry tone of voice: "The tragedy here is that a good person has been murdered and he is not with us any more. It was more than four years ago. Whether he was murdered by two masked men, by Jody or by someone else, what difference, at this point, does it make?"
If Hillary got away with that, it may work for Jodi too.
