Skinner made the comments while testifying against AB 1876, a bill that would prohibit insurers from denying or limiting coverage for so-called "gender-affirming care."

"This bill forces insurance companies to fund this cruel homophobia. It continues the lie that some children are born in the wrong body. Vote no," Skinner added.
