It would seem that The Affordable Care Act is revealing more and more everyday.

Some things are being rewritten or delayed. So, there are 2500-plus pages of rules and heaven only knows how many pages of changes. I dare say that no American, including the House, Senate or President could answer all the questions that might be posed. A 26-page report from the Robert Powell Center for Medical Ethics reveals that States can actually prohibit insurance companies from selling more expensive plans that Americans could purchase with their own money. In other words, even if you can afford it, you will not be able to spend your own money to purchase expanded plans. This is being done by giving the Secretary of Health and Human Services, presently, Kathleen Sebelius, the authority to reject any policies or programs. The Independent Payment Advisory Board is tasked with making recommendations to slow the growth in national health expenditures. One way to accomplish this is by limiting the policies available in a State. The truth is that for awhile our national healthcare costs are likely to rise, due to the bubble of baby boomers. The only way to prevent healthcare costs from rising in the short term, is to deny lifesaving treatments and tests. Everyone should educate themselves on the future of their individual coverage and medical options. Stewart Andersen
