An administration that wants and incites controversy and strife
It has been pointed out that the Zimmerman jurors were courageous in the face of pressure to find him guilty. What is also worthy of mention is the grace Trayvon Martin's parents have demonstrated and the restraint the community of Sanford has exercised.
What really makes me angry is that in the face of courage, restraint and grace the Federal government (egged on by trouble makers such as Al Sharpton) wants to keep the wound open and festering. There is nothing to be served or proven by the continuation of a case that is done and over.
A country that truly wanted to make things better would be looking for ways to use this tragedy to improve gun safety.
It would be talking to one another about perceptions and realities of race relations. It could be a teaching moment about civil and constitutional rights. But all those opportunities will be lost thanks to an administration that wants and incites controversy and strife.
