Another symptom of the decline of our country

It seems there is good reason to question the result of the McDaniel/Cochran primary run-off in Mississippi.

The final tally showed about 6,500 votes separating the two candidates in the primary run-off. The primary was close as well, neither getting enough to avoid the run-off. This race had all the elements of a TV drama. The common folk, backing McDaniel, fighting valiantly against the big money, establishment-backed Cochran. You had the establishment partnering with the Democratic enemy to take down the young upstart. And you had voting laws that allowed some Democrats to vote in the run-off, which was encouraged by the Cochran backers. With one area double checked, some 1500 votes are alleged to be improper. Likely a check of the entire state would uncover many more. It seems like a no-brainer that the investigation be conducted with the full support of everyone involved. Anything less leaves the process open to charges of a stolen election. Worse, it would be another symptom of the decline of our country. Victoria Vaughn
