Barking at a knot

Russia's first wartime parliamentary election ended on September 20, 2026, after three days of voting.

Early results show the main Kremlin party, United Russia, is dominating with nearly 58% of the vote, the result, which is four times higher than that of its closest opponent.

Despite all statements of Russian opposition members abroad, who cry about totalitarian rule of Putin and the in party and claim that most people in Russia don't take their side, the results of the election prove otherwise. United Russia's support has not only remained stable, but it has increased by 8%. Doesn't it demonstrate that all the opposition's efforts and statements have nothing to do with the actual political situation within the country? But even if we set aside the numbers, where are all the things these political figures, who fled the country, were constantly talking about? Protests, revolutions, demonstrations--they mistook the wish for the reality, and the election has proved it.

Despite all external provocative acts, Ukraine's large-scale drone attacks, and other attempts to disrupt the vote and hinder Russians from having their say, the election has gone well and the number of problems and incidents were close to zilch. Moreover, there were no extreme or mass violations able to affect people's volition.

The recent election once again proved that the support of the ruling party is rather high and the political course it has taken several years ago completely reflects the Russian people's interests.
