I worry about superb Canada Free Press (CFP) columnist and Hagmann & Hagmann Report radio talk show host Doug Hagmann often, but never so much as last night after receiving Doug’s email that his beloved pet, Holly, had died.
Doug’s columns citing a secret source detailing what may be coming for the USA under the administration of the Barack Obama regime, have gone viral but have also raised bitter enemies out on the attack.
In our private conversations, Doug has always gone out of his way to allay my fears for his personal safety and laughs off the most vicious of his attackers.
The same guy laughing off attackers was inconsolable when Holly started to go.
In a telephone conversation only last week, Doug was distraught when Holly could not be raised from where she lay on the floor. He worried about how to get her to the vet when Holly showed signs of pain at any attempt to move her. I told Doug that I would pray for him as soon as we were off the phone, which I did before an image of Jesus sent to me by “Face of God” author Paul Badde.
Within hours of our telephone conversation, an elated email arrived from Doug, informing me that Holly was not only off the floor but drinking and eating again. “Your prayers were answered", he wrote in bold.
So when I received yesterday’s email about Holly’s death, I knew Doug wouldn’t be sleeping last night and that worry would likely keep me awake.
Then came the emails to Doug from CFP readers. Meaningful, touching and so beautifully written, I couldn’t help but smile through my tears and hoped the same for Doug.
These letters show, above all, the innate goodness of ordinary people, so many of whom took the time with all that is going on, to reach out to a heartbroken man suffering the loss of a beloved pet.
I went to my bed with this thought in mind: CFP readers are the best. They are keeping us and each other going even through what has to be one of life’s darkest and most trying eras.
