Justice Minister Sean Fraser and Health Minister Marjorie Michel stated on October 7, 2026 that the federal government will introduce legislation, that will prevent the implementation of euthanasia for mental illness as a sole criteria.
However, the government legislation will also permit euthanasia by advanced request.
Euthanasia by advanced request is a very dangerous concept as it permits doctors and nurse practitioners to kill someone who has become incompetent, based on an advanced request.
The Euthanasia Prevention Coalition opposes killing people but why is euthanasia by advance request even more egregious?
Euthanasia was originally legalized in Canada under the guise of being for mentally competent adults, who are capable of consenting and who freely “choose.” Euthanasia by advanced request undermines these basic principles. ---More...
FDA Postpones Review of Dangerous Abortion Pill to March 2027
The Food and Drug Administration will not finish its safety review of the dangerous abortion pill mifepristone until March 2027, and it will not impose new restrictions before then, the agency said in a court filing Wednesday.
That means babies will be killed and women will continue being injured in abortions for months without any federal action to stop mail-order abortions that are victimizing both.
The FDA told a federal court it expects to complete a safety study by mid-December, with a report on the findings “no later than March 2027.”
Only after that report will the agency decide whether to change how the drug is prescribed or distributed. ---More...
Congressman Slams Abortion: “Babies Deserve Better Than to be Flushed Down the Toilet”
The following are excerpts of remarks delivered by Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), Co-Chair of the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus, to the crowd at the 2026 New Jersey March for Life in Trenton, NJ:
I met my dear wife, Marie, more than fifty years ago in the pro-life movement. We spent many days lobbying here at our state capital. Today, like you, we remain hope-filled.
Special thanks to Marie Tasy for her extraordinary leadership, courage, wisdom and tenacity in the defense of the weakest and most vulnerable. Thank you to each and every one of you for being here.
Today’s March for Life is an engraved invitation to all of us to seriously recommit and rededicate ourselves, with love and compassion, to tangibly assist women—especially through the extraordinary work of pregnancy care centers—in order to protect their precious babies and their own lives from the violence and cruelty of abortion. ---More...
Abdul El-Sayed Calls Pregnant Women “Simply a Carrying Vehicle” for Babies
Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed described a pregnant mother as “simply a carrying vehicle for a fetus that has not ever breathed air.” The comment came when a pro-life student asked him, at a Western Michigan University town hall, why she should vote for him.
The exchange came at a “Students vs. Billionaires” event on the Kalamazoo campus. El-Sayed did not use the word “woman.” He called the pregnant mom “an adult, or sometimes even a juvenile human.”
“I respect your position insofar as it’s founded in the idea that you want to protect and empower life,” El-Sayed told the student. “The question we have to ask ourselves is, what’s the best way to do that? And whose life gets destroyed in that process?”
He continued: “Because too often when government says that you cannot have reproductive care, you are creating a circumstance in which an adult, or sometimes even a juvenile human, is being reduced into simply a carrying vehicle for a fetus that has not ever breathed air.” ---More...
Nevada Voters Must Reject Question 6, Stop Abortions Up to Birth
As Nevada voters prepare to decide the fate of Question 6, a proposed constitutional amendment concerning abortion rights, an increasing number of faith leaders and religious organizations are publicly expressing their opposition.
The voices span multiple Christian traditions and include The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Catholic leaders in Nevada, the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, and the Pastoral Council of Las Vegas. While these groups represent different theological traditions, their statements share a common concern: the proposed amendment would place abortion rights directly into the Nevada Constitution and, according to opponents, could have significant consequences for unborn children, parents, families and the regulation of abortion.
The Catholic Church has made its position especially clear. Archbishop George Leo Thomas of the Archdiocese of Las Vegas directed that his pastoral letter concerning Question 6 be read at Masses throughout the archdiocese on October 3–4, Respect Life Sunday. The archdiocese also made the Nevada Catholic Conference’s advisory available in English and Spanish. ---More...
