An astonishing 15 minute documentary by SBS Dateline (Australian TV) released in March this year, that exposes the bizarre, Chinese real-estate market and its ghost cities with vast empty shopping malls and apartment buildings.
A Hong Kong based analyst says in this documentary that there are sixty-four million empty apartment buildings in China. He says that China is in a property bubble bigger than the U.S. However, developers just continue building. The documentary says that there are millions of expensive homes, but millions who cannot afford to live in them.
