"Crash harder next time" spray painted on funeral home holding remains of fallen officer

BELEN, N.M. —"Crash harder next time” and smiley faces with anti-police statements were spray painted around the city of Belen Friday night. A vandal marked several buildings in response to the death of Valencia County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Ryan Thomas in a crash Tuesday. Thomas’ body is held in the Noblin Funeral Services building.
