DC water authority jokes about shutting off White House’s water amid shutdown

As the federal government shutdown drags on toward day 20, Washington is now struggling to pay some of its water bills. A top official from DC Water, the water authority for the nation’s capital, said they received an email from the Treasury Department last week saying it could only pay about $10.5 million of the $16.5 million it owed for the second quarter of fiscal 2019, according to the Washington Post. -- More....
