Do You Believe in America?

Ask the average U.S. citizen if he or she believes in America and they’ll almost always answer “yes.“ The proper follow-up question is which America do they believe in because there are two different Americas that our Presidential candidates want us to believe.

Barack Obama has a campaign slogan that proclaims “Betting on America” and Mitt Romney has one that declares “Believe in America.” They can’t be campaigning for the same America because each one has an entirely different political philosophy and direction for our Nation’s future. Barack Obama wants us to believe in his unilateral plan to “Fundamentally transform America” and Mitt Romney wants us to believe in his bilateral plan to “Restore the promise of America." Each belief contradicts the other, yet there is only one legitimate America.

What do you believe?

• If you believe our individual Rights come from God and not government, then you believe in America.
• If you believe our supreme law of the land comes from the U.S. Constitution and not judicial revisionism, then you believe in America.
• If you believe our freedom comes from a sovereign government of the United States and not a one-world government of the United Nations, then you believe in America.
• If you believe our peace comes from supremacy and not consent, then you believe in America.
• If you believe our greatness comes from exceptionalism and not mediocrity, then you believe in America.
• If you believe our creativity comes from individual liberty and not government control, then you believe in America.
• If you believe our independence comes from private ownership and not public redistribution, then you believe in America.
• If you believe our progress comes from free enterprise and not government intervention, then you believe in America.
• If you believe our credibility comes from fiscal discipline and not unrestrained spending, then you believe in America.
• If you believe our destiny is energy independence and not foreign reliance, then you believe in America.
• If you believe public service is a selfless sacrifice and not a self-serving opportunity, then you believe in America.
• If you believe in America, then you believe in Mitt Romney.
