GENOA TOWNSHIP, Mich. - A drifter with criminal records in seven states is expected to be brought back to Michigan in the beating of an 83-year-old World War II veteran.
Michigan State Police Lt. Gene Kapp tells The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press that 37-year-old Harry T. Riley has been arrested near Lincoln, Neb. Kapp says U.S. marshals tracked Riley before his arrest Tuesday. An extradition hearing could be held next week. Riley and 32-year-old Noah Lovell III are charged with armed robbery, torture, unlawful imprisonment and home invasion in the Oct. 29 attack on John Pickett in Livingston County's Genoa Township, about 35 miles northwest of Detroit.
