We have Ebola within our borders. It wasn't caught by the emergency room.
The patient wasn't truthful on the forms. The people with whom he was in contact while contagious are less than cooperative and finding workers willing to clean up the living quarters that are potentially contaminated is difficult. And these problems are only the tip of the iceberg. Today we discovered that a camera man is infected and that news crew is voluntarily going into isolation. Now we are sending 3500 military people into that mess. All of this makes me angry. It would be reasonable to stop all flights to the area and pull our people who are there home. And frankly, if aid workers chose to stay and God forbid they get infected, we should provide any medicine and support we can, short of bringing them home. This has the potential to be a terribly deadly situation and our denial and riding to the rescue could and will jeopardize lives and could destroy the economy. The actions of our government to date regarding Ebola are irresponsible. Virginia Sparks
