Fake News? The Devil Makes Them Do It Now that Pope Francis has let it out of the bag that fake news is “the work of the devil”, can we take it at face value that Fake News King CNN is the spawn of the devil and the New York Times and Washington Post their wicked step sisters? A question that deserves more than LOL. In a speech delivered at the Vatican for World Communications Day, the pontiff said that the "crafty serpent" was the original incarnation of the spread of untruths.
Unfortunately it never stayed there. “This biblical episode brings to light an essential element for our reflection: There is no such thing as harmless disinformation; on the contrary, trusting in falsehood can have dire consequences," he said. "Even a seemingly slight distortion of the truth can have dangerous effects.” (BuzzFeed, Jan. 24, 2018) Amen to that, Pope Francis. Just ask President Donald Trump, his family and supporters. The MSM and social media purveyors of fake news have laid their lies on so thick, that it is frightening school children. “Children are experiencing "widespread anxiety" over the threat of terrorism and Donald Trump's presidency, a new survey from the Mental Health Foundation has found. (independent.co.uk, Jan. 23, 2018)
“In a bid to try and find out the impact world events were having on children, the charity asked 1,800 parents with children aged five to 18 what they thought their sons and daughters were anxious about. "More than a third of parents (41 per cent) listed the threat of terrorism, while 33 per cent said Donald Trump and his administration.”
This should serve as shocking proof of how well the indoctrination of the far left is working on the young. If British children are experiencing “widespread anxiety” over Donald Trump, it is because they were adult-taught to fear him. Back to the pope’s speech, titled "'The truth will set you free’ (Jn 8:32) Fake news and journalism for peace", when the pontiff called on followers to denounce "snake-tactics" employed by fake news writers who can "strike at any time”. (Buzzfeed) “Snake-tactics” is the perfect description in any language for the purveyors of “fake news”, other than the one used by the Harvard University Library List which got them all wrong. The pontiff stressed that journalists should resist "feeding frenzies and the mad rush for a scoop”. But salacious gossip, lies and sleaze replaced the ‘scoop’ long before you ever became Pope, Francis. Real journalism’s gone like the wind.
“You shouldn’t fall into the ‘sins of communication:’ disinformation, or giving just one side, calumny that is sensationalized, or defamation, looking for things that are old news and have been dealt with and bringing them to light today," he said. (Buzzfeed)

The big problem with that is that the “old news” of certain politicians has never been dealt with—even 40 years later. It’s the same-old same old and that’s why it keeps cropping up in the current day. Fake news should not just apply to MSM and social media ‘journalists’ at work, but apply too, to any of those who would dare to quote passages of the Bible as a convenient means to cover their devious ways. “Former FBI Director James Comey tweeted a Bible verse regarding "justice" after news that former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn would plead guilty to making false statements to the FBI on Russia: (BusinessInsider, Dec. 1, 2017)
“But justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream” Amos 5:24," Comey wrote on Twitter; he also cross-posted it to Instagram. “The tweet comes after news that Michael Flynn, the embattled former national security advisor to President Trump, would plead guilty to lying to the FBI. “As part of the deal, Flynn has agreed to cooperate with the investigation Robert Mueller is handling, looking into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.  “In a written statement, Flynn said "it has been extraordinarily painful to endure these many months of false accusations of 'treason' and other outrageous acts."
"However, he said, "I recognize that the actions I acknowledged in court today were wrong, and, through my faith in God, I am working to set things right. My guilty plea and agreement to cooperate with the Special Counsel's Office reflect a decision I made in the best interests of my family and of our country. I accept full responsibility for my actions."  “A source close to Flynn said financial and emotional pressure helped lead to the decision to plead guilty, rather than endure a drawn-out court battle.”
With evidence now mounting that a scandal bigger than Watergate is brewing at the FBI, untold millions are hoping through faith in God that members of the “secret society” will be outed and brought to justice, no matter how drawn-out the court battles. More stunning than anything fake news could come up with, the FBI worked undercover to tilt the election to Hillary Clinton, blamed her imminent loss on Trump’s collusion with the Russians, and some say had plans in place for the assassination of Donald Trump should he miraculously be elected president. That’s a plan hatched by the devil that was never repudiated by the Democrats, the entertainment industry or scurrilous Fake News. The devil stole the souls of many public figures in office today and continues to have at the rest of us through the fake news of dominant social media. It’s getting to be that you never know what you’re going to find when you log onto the Internet. All of those discouraged by the onslaught of fake news should take comfort in knowing that Jesus doesn’t read social media. He reads your heart.
