Flick Off ObamaThe omnipresence of Barack Hussein Obama is guaranteed by the television, more aptly identified by the little people as, “the boob tube”. Obama’s speech to Congress last night was forced upon the unwashed masses. Or was it? If you were tuned in, you saw poisonous Pelosi glaring at a giggling gaggle of Republicans, and “The First Lady” on one of her rare vacations from another vacation nodding her head back and forth in disapproval.
Like a teenager who cannot hide his involuntary laugh when his mother catches him out, you saw a POTUS biting his lip when he insisted: “The reforms I’m proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally.” (“Honest, Ma, I was not really up to no good when I used Dad’s car for a joyride with my buds!”) And if you were watching the networks, for the briefest moment you thought you saw an American hero, a politician insisting on the truth! But even before the sun came up today, there was a story carried by FoxNews that South Carolina Republican Joe Wilson had already called to apologize for shouting out to POTUS, “You lie!” Unlike the people who put him there, Wilson could get through to the White House switchboard. (Wilson’s apology was made to White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, POTUS being out and about celebrating his Congress speech). In that phony, surrealistic environment called US Congress, Wilson’s shout “drew immediate condemnation from both sides of the aisle”. (foxnews.com, Sept. 9, 2009). The lead of the same story is almost as shocking as the Wilson apology: “In an extraordinary breach of congressional decorum, a Republican lawmaker shouted, “You lie” at President Barack Obama during his speech to Congress Wednesday.” (Italics CFP’s). What congressional decorum? Guess FoxNews doesn’t watch its own network. Anyone watching could clearly see that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who was having a proverbial cow, kept looking pointedly at Vice President Joe Biden, as if he could--or would--do anything. What congressional decorum is there in an environment where the lie is now Undisputed King? Shockwaves are coming at Americans on a daily basis from a Marxist administration hijacked by 42 and still counting czars. In fact with the shadow government running Obama’s show, congress is nothing but an impotent body and a televised charade. Are you mad as hell that television networks bow to the demands of the Obama administration, so mad you don’t want to take it anymore? Tune out of the networks and tune in to real life. Congregate where the real people are. Switch on where the real news has always been, where the politicians cannot alter the music playing in the background of your daily life. Viewers are the lifeblood of ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CBS, CNN, PBS and even wobbly Fox. Without you they are nothing but dead air. Send the networks anemic. At the same time when you aren’t watching the networks, the starving egos of Obama, Pelosi and other congressional actors will soon dry up and blow away. The television networks and lying politicians do not deserve your patronage. If it’s unfiltered news you must have, go to the talk show hosts and the Internet (by and large). Tuning out on a lying smirking Obama is as simple as flicking a switch.
