imageHolly Ridge, NC-Even under a president who wants to kill off free enterprise, America is working. Wendy Guthrie and Roger Davis are perfect examples of how America is working. Today they drove the four hours from their home in Charleston, South Carolina to harvest their garden and vineyards in Maple Hill, NC.

imageThey were setting up the produce, cantaloupe, peaches, corn, potatoes, onions, squash, zucchini, and blueberries when Canada Free Press (CFP) stopped in a nearby open field to give office mascot Kiko a walk. Just one handful of the blueberries and we were filling our cooler with fresh berries, delectable peaches and cantaloupe. This summer Roger and Wendy bottled their own Edmondola Vineyards Grape Juice. The 100% Muscadine Grape Juice--”all natural, alcohol free” looked too good to pass up, and as sit turned out CFP bought their very first bottle! The winsome couple, whose only son, 22-year-old Camden is a medic in the National Guard in Iraq, have a dream: they want to build a manufacturing plant and warehousing for Edmondola Vineyards. Edmondola is named for Roger’s grandparents, from whom they inherited the vineyard. But Wendy is worried that Obama will smash their dreams. “He is so much against small business. Small business is the backbone of this country. How can this be happening,” she said with all the passion that can be mustered by a true patriot. Wendy and Roger were thrilled when they learned that the official purchasers of their first bottle of Grape Juice ran an online newspaper that dares to criticize “The One”. “If Obama succeeds in taking down America, Canada and the Free World as we know it, goes down with it,” we told Wendy. Wendy and Roger are proud of their son who is serving his country. Wendy told us that Camden was married to their lovely daughter-in-law on July 7, 2007. “That makes it the seventh day, the seventh month, the seventh year, so I know he will get back home safely,” she told us. Camden’s Mom tearfully said that she couldn’t understand how Obama could put his own country down when traveling the world. “Doesn’t he believe in the sacrifice our troops make to keep us safe?” she asked. Wendy and Roger don’t know what they did for CFP. We wanted to see with our own eyes what the Obama administration is doing to America. The unfolding ideology of Barack Obama notwithstanding, America wants to work. America is working every day just as it always did. Edmondola Vineyards will have its own website, to be launched by CFP over the next few days. Meanwhile, hard-working Americans like Roger Davis and Wendy Guthrie will make their dreams come true. The next time, CFP drives down through beautiful North Carolina, there will be a new sign on the road at Holly Ridge: EDMONDOLA VINEYARDS!
