Hillary Clinton has revealed her latest scheme to redistribute wealth. It comes in the form proposals that would give the EPA and Justice Dept. the ability to compensate people who suffer environmental injustice.
According to Clinton and her cohort, Al Sharpton, poor and/or blacks suffer disproportionately from "environmental racism" (her freshly coined phrase). Clinton asserts that minorities suffer the worst losses during extreme weather.
Think about that. For example, during hurricane Charlie, was it poor minorities who suffered the most?
Was it the poor minorities who suffered the most losses during Hurricane Sandy? The answer is no. Certainly in New Orleans, the answer was yes. But it could be argued that in every one of the above, personal choice and poor governmental decisions contributed to the outcome.
And, it should be noted that there are disaster funds available to all affected.
Clinton's hypothesis is that climate change causes storms, storms hurt poor people more than others.
So, her election year solution-give poor people more money. And to go after those who commit "Environmental Racism".
So, who will we prosecute for the next hurricane, tornado or earthquake? What if, an erupting volcano or an earthquake happens in another country but causes a disaster here? And how will you assign blame? Who exactly caused the hurricane?
This is a really stupid idea.
