Democrats in the House of Representatives used a parliamentary maneuver to kill amendments aimed at preventing ACORN from being eligible for federal funds and from participating in the 2010 Census, Fox News reports. (I am advised that the vote was 179 to 124.)
Here is Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), who offered one of the ACORN-related amendments, explaining what happened on Fox News this morning:
