How do my liberal friends reconcile Muslim rights and women's rights in their heads? On one hand they are demanding open borders and admission of Syrian and other middle east immigrants, on the other hand the are demanding equal everything for women. Most of those immigrants do not believe in women's rights in any way, shape or form. So the same people who are protesting at airports around the country are also the same ones who are marching for women's rights.
Here's a few ideas. Let's do away with Sharia law. It is not our law and it disrespects women. Let's give all Muslim immigrants and refugees, men and women, a crash course in our laws and make them understand their rights and the consequences of not affording women equal rights. No more "no-go zones", no more sanctuary cities. We are one country. We have one set of laws.
And liberals, you have to decide just how much you believe in women's rights because supporting immigration for Muslim countries without safeguards for the women is the height of hypocrisy.
