How to beat Obama

The only thing that matters in elections is winning. The Democrats gave up their principles and sold their souls to win by nominating a winnable Obama. And he is slated to win again. He plays the game well, despite his hypocrisy. Elections are a mean game. The cold truth is that Republicans must give up their personal ambitions, walk away from their old-school buddies and nominate somebody who can beat Obama.

Elections are won on personality, charm, body language, projected confidence, not policy. IMAGE IS EVERYTHING. We lost the first round to Obama because his opponent was McCain...who looked worn out, over-exposed and overtly hungry to be in the White house. There are currently no Republican candidates who have the MANO to confront and stare down Obama. Nobody. Yes, many have substance, character and policy but none have the public appeal to go toe-to-toe and KO the champion. While Republicans will endorse their personal favourites based on values, policy or kickbacks, we have the potential McCain vs Obama scenario all over again. And lose we will again. The name of the game is winning. And we must do so at any cost to beat Obama. If Republicans don't wake up and stop stubbornly supporting their own personal, un-winable favourites, Obama will have four more years to finish his destruction of America. Personally, I can see only one prospect on the horizon that has enormous public popularity AND popularity with the media AND has already thrown a few uppercuts at Obama that has resonated with the voters.

Donald Trump

This is Donald Trump. Like him or hate him, the public has a strong liking for him. Even with his hair ! He is the only man who has strong public appeal to beat Obama. And Trump clearly has strong media connections and support, unlike Palin or other candidates, support that could seriously undercut Obama's media advantage. Elections are about winning. There is no prize for second place. Obama will win again even if the economy worsens or even if he admits he is pushing for a socialist America. Because he sells well with the voters, whether we admit it or not. He has conned them before and will successfully con them again. UNLESS someone more popular comes around. And who clearly is not afraid of him. And whose steely ego will not let Obama belittle him. On the contrary, Obama's threatened ego will likely have him spout poisonous words...his mask will have fallen...and the public will finally see who Obama really is. The only man capable of this is Trump. His campaign slogan would be ''YOU'RE FIRED''. Bingo...Instant appeal and popularity throughout the nation. As catchy as the lofty 'Yes We Can'. Obama would have the rug pulled out from under him. Beating him at his own game. How sweet ! Voters choose by APPEAL and NEWNESS, not policy, as we were reminded in 2008. Republicans better wake up. And choose for their country and not for themselves. As the beloved President Kennedy, who knew how to win, said: ''...Ask what you can do for your country !'' This is it.
