Creature of the Government system, Daniel Béland, a political science professor at McGill University in Montreal, who claims ‘despite the independence effort, liberal Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney "is indeed popular, even in Alberta,”’ is about as legitimate as Carney’s floor-crosser-achieved ‘Majority’ government.
‘Alberta separatists say they have enough signatures for referendum on leaving Canada’—headline (Fox News, May 5, 2026)
Mitch Sylvestre, the head of Stay Free Alberta, proved successful by gathering an impressive 305,000 signatures for a province-wide ballot that could go forward as early as October.
Kudos to Stay Free Alberta for delivering the signatures to the Edmonton Elections Alberta office, in a convoy of seven trucks—trucks a reminder of the 2022 Truckers Freedom Convoy, which drew worldwide exposure and admiration when it forced the Liberal Government to back off their Covid vaccines.
That this all went down when millions of Canadians —left out cold and hungry with no relief from the authoritative Ottawa Liberal government—will never be forgotten.
The path ahead will be rocky and laborious at best as Ottawa will deploy their ‘paid propaganda arm’ in full force.
With their compliant NGOs, their propaganda media, their indigenous groups, their courts all on Ottawa’s payroll, a fearsome fight is well on the way—even as Canada is provably in severe financial decline, including a worrisome exodus of top talent and investment dollars fleeing our country.
This will also put under public scrutiny that elitist globalist banker PM Mark Carney and his anti-American sidekick Ontario Premier Doug Ford cannot continue to blame American President Donald Trump for Canada having fallen into the grasp of WEF-influenced communism after 11 years of Liberal misrule.
Meanwhile Canadians across the land will be thankful that the Mitch Sylvestre-lead Stay Free Alberta has reignited a candle of hope burning in patriotic Canadian hearts.
