Introducing Aleksander Rybczynski, our new reporter on the ground in Poland

Alek will be writing and sending reports on the ongoing situation and daily realities that face Poland as it with the many challenges and issues that are part of life in Poland today. 

Poland has a rich and at times tragic history, and a unique culture. It is one of the fastest growing economies in Europe and is strong member of NATO having exceeded its 2% of GDP in defense spending. Poland has long been skeptical of EU policies, especially on immigration yet has opened its arms to 1.4 million Ukrainian refugees the most of any country in Europe.

Poland finds itself on the front line of the war in Ukraine which has brought NATO and Russia to the brink of open conflict. 

Alex’s extensive background as an author, publisher and historian will bring real and truthful insight to our readers. 

Alex also lived and worked in Canada for over 30 years and has just recently returned to his native home in Poland. In that interim he published the excellent on-line magazine Polska Canada and made several documentaries including the much-acclaimed tribute to honor Polish/Canadian alliance throughout World War Two. Entitled "The Winged Alliance"
