Karoline Leavitt shuts down NBC’s fear mongering over FEMA and hurricane season—refusing to take the bait.
NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell tried to push the narrative that Trump’s workforce cuts would leave Americans vulnerable during disasters.
But Leavitt didn’t budge.
“FEMA is taking this seriously,” she said.
“Kristi Noem and the FEMA leadership are all over this.”
She called out the Washington press corps directly:
“Some of the media reporting we’ve seen has been sloppy and irresponsible.”
And she made the administration’s position crystal clear:
“The president isn’t going to enable states to make bad decisions and then come begging for bailouts with federal tax dollars.”
Then came the kicker.
O’Donnell pressed again, scolding FEMA over a joke about hurricane season.
Leavitt shut it down on the spot:
“It’s serious business, Kelly, and I’m not going to engage in such fodder with a question like that.”
Devastating.
