The Massachusetts Senate on Friday approved a radical bill that allows abortions up until birth even on healthy unborn babies. The legislature sent the measure to Gov. Maura Healey, an abortion advocate who is expected to sign it into law.
The Senate passed the measure this afternoon after Democrats fast tracked the measure to bypass the full committee process so the full body could pass the bill before the legislature adjourns today.
The legislation, House Bill 5595, passed the overwhelmingly Democrat House on July 22 by a vote of 119-33. Under current state law, abortions are allowed up to 24 weeks of pregnancy, although weak exceptions essentially allow it up to birth. ---More...
Judge Orders New York to Not Force Catholic Nuns to Help Assisted Suicides
With agreement from the state of New York, a federal judge ordered the state not to enforce its assisted-suicide mandate against four orders of Catholic nuns and several Catholic healthcare ministries while their federal lawsuit proceeds. The temporary agreement protects the ministries from being forced to help terminally ill patients end their lives via suicide in direct violation of their faith.
In Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm v. James, Becket asked a federal court to protect the ministries before New York’s Medical Aid in Dying Act takes effect on August 5. New York just agreed that itwould not apply the law to them while the court considers their request for a preliminary injunction. A hearing on Becket’s motion for a preliminary injunction, previously scheduled for Monday, August 3, will now likely be rescheduled to a later date. ---More...
Canadian Doctors Want to Kill Patients by Harvesting Their Organs
Not sure if even the classic horror movies went this far, but three doctors are pushing a plan that would kill people by taking their organs for transplant.
Of course it would be all right because the victims would have requested euthanasia anyway.
A report from LifesiteNews said the doctors, from Canada where euthanasia is routinely imposed and commonly recommended as a health care treatment, wrote a paper, “Contextualizing the dead donor rule in an era of voluntary euthanasia,” in the New England Journal of Medicine.
It is Drs. Ian Ball, Carter Winberg and Robert Truog who said, “In
death by organ donation, the patient’s authorization, experience, and
outcome are not altered by whether death occurs moments before or during
organ retrieval.” ---More...

Today, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America and its partner Women Speak Out PAC announced that their Voter Contact Program has surpassed 2 million visits to voters’ homes across key battleground races in the 2025-2026 election cycle, including 1 million visits by student canvassers representing over 100 universities.
The groups previously announced plans to contact 10.5 million voters this cycle through canvassing, digital advertising, voter contact mail and early vote campaigns. SBA and WSO PAC’s Voter Contact Program is the largest and most effective pro-life program of its kind in the nation.
The program is focused on low-turnout and persuadable voters in states such as Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Montana, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and other critical battlegrounds for securing pro-life House and Senate majorities as well as pro-life governors. ---More...
Catholic Bishops Slam California for Bogus Lawsuit to Stop Abortion Pill Reversal
Two California Catholic bishops on Friday denounced the state’s lawsuit aimed at silencing pro-life groups that help women reverse chemical abortions and save their unborn babie.
The bishops are calling the California’s lawsuit an attack on second chances for mothers who change their minds.
In a Wall Street Journal opinion piece titled “California’s Case Against Second Chances,” Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone of San Francisco and Bishop Michael C. Barber of Oakland wrote that California is suing Christian nonprofits “that help women save their unborn babies.”
The bishops highlighted the case of Elizabeth Barrett, a young college dropout in Southern California who swallowed an abortion pill given by a local clinic and almost immediately regretted it. An online search led her to Heartbeat International, a Christian nonprofit that refers women to licensed doctors for treatment. ---More...
