Meryl Streep's poorly timed political pontification

It will be interesting to see what if any repercussions come from Meryl Streep's poorly timed political pontification. The Golden Globe sponsors and organization undoubtedly did not plan on bankrolling a soapbox for her personal opinions. The American people likely have their own opinions and certainly could care less what Ms. Streep thinks-about anything. She is just one citizen of this great country whose occupation is acting. No different to us than an electrician, doctor, clerk, waitress, or carpenter. Her opinions hold no more value to us than any other. How dare she assume that we give a rat's hind end what she thinks? How dare she impose on us, who were strictly looking to be entertained, her liberal rant? How dare she disrespect our duly elected President? Funny how she spoke about respect while demonstrating just the opposite.
