Minnesota Somalis' Covid $250 million Covid fraud scheme under Tim Walz was worst in US: report

The single worst Covid relief fraud in the United States occurred in Minnesota, while Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) was managing the state. CNN reported Friday that the fraud was born in the Somali community of Minneapolis, just as another Somali refugee who ran a state public housing agency admitted to stealing millions.

In CNN's review of audits, they found that Walz was directly to blame for looking the other way when it came to fraud in his state.

One specific instance was Feeding Our Future.

"Feeding Our Future. A program overseen by Minnesota's Department of Education was the single largest COVID-19 fraud scheme in the nation," CNN reported.

"According to the Department of Justice, nearly 250 million in federal tax dollars was supposed to go to feeding children in need."

"Instead, dozens of people involved in the scheme stole the money, buying houses, luxury cars, and a suburban bar and restaurant."

"According to a federal indictment, at the time, Governor Walz defended his administration."
