More than five years after claiming that the remains of 215 children were found at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School

This in spite of receiving $12.1 million from taxpayers expressly to conduct an excavation to get to the truth. Now the Department of Crown-Indigenous Relations has waived a requirement that the Kamloops Aboriginals account for what became of $12.1 million in funding for “exhumation of remains” at an Indian Residential School.

More than five years after claiming that the remains of 215 children were found at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School, the local Tk’emlups te Secwepemc Aboriginals have made no attempt to exhume any graves.

This in spite of receiving $12.1 million from taxpayers…
