Thwack! The sound of #NeverTrump ‘Constitooshinal’ Conservatives pulling their thumbs out of their O-shaped mouths when their roll call sabotage was ignored at the Republican National Convention. Most knew that the minute when Donald J. Trump was officially nominated, in the face of all those who said it could never happen, that the kids would storm out of the nursery leaving Teddy behind to go dirt-digging.
We don’t rightly know whether the green-eyed monster got the best of a perpetually-poised Michelle Obama in the Melania Trump STOLE-MY-WORDS! social media bonfire destined to linger in the smoldering stage. Thanks to Gateway Pundit, we do rightly know that it was #NeverTrump Erick Erickson who hurled sour-grapes fuel into the plagiarism charge that Donald Trump Junior “ALSO” plagiarized someone else--his own speechwriter. “Erick Erickson: The Resurgent: Donald Trump’ Jr.’s Speech had Plagiarism too.” A charge that Erikson is trying to make stick even though the charge was refuted by speech co-author George Mason law professor Frank Buckley.
Millions watching and listening to Melania Trump on opening night of the RNC would know that there is nothing she would ever need to borrow from Michelle Obama. Nothing from her words, her actions or her closet. More than ironic that the failed gotcha plagiarism attack now becomes a case of ‘Mrs. Trump versus Mrs. Frump ‘, the latter being a name Michelle Obama, who turns up in outrageous outfits, not only because she can, but because she, like her husband, seems to get off on taunting main-street Americans, has earned. You can count on Mrs. Trump never getting out of a limo to board Air Force One sporting shorts and sandals. She’d be much too respectful to those who awarded her the status of First Lady. History will now prove Mrs. Trump didn’t wait for her husband to be inaugurated as president to declare she is proud to be American because she already felt that way about America before coming to the U.S. as a grateful, America-respecting émigré in 2001 and a citizen in 2006. Nor do we have to go into the past to be able to distinguish between Mrs. Trump and Mrs. Frump. Yesterday Mrs. Trump was standing with her husband with signs ‘Make America Great Again’ in the background at the Republican Convention. Mrs. Frump is joining James Corden in his hit sketch Carpool Karaoke this week.

“In the latest edition, Mrs Obama was picked up outside the White House and sang a spirited version of Beyonce's girl-power anthem Single Ladies while taking a ride with the British TV host. (BBC, July 20, 2016) “The US first lady also revealed she hasn't travelled in the front seat of a car for over seven years.” Guess it really bothers her that she hasn’t travelled in the front seat of a car for over seven years. Believable First Ladies don’t hold traveling in the front seat of a car as important. They do not try to compete with their husbands for the limelight. No, there is nothing Mrs. Trump needs to borrow from the overbearing Madam Frump. That’s because she’s almost perfect as she is.
