Netanyahu's Israel

Watching Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Russian President Putin it is impossible not to envy the Israeli and Russian people for the leadership they enjoy.

At the United Nations, Netanyahu spoke passionately about the threat to "my people". He didn't say Israelis, he said "my people". How desperately we want to hear those words from President Obama. But, we won't, because he does not hold us as his people. He doesn't respect us. He doesn't celebrate us. He doesn't love us. I cry for Israel. And I tremble for the fury that may be unleashed by our abandonment of them. Netanyahu made his position clear. Israel will do whatever it must to protect its people. Listening to him, you know, his red line must not be crossed. It isn't an idle threat. Jean Arcamone Englewood, FL
