NYPD officer breaks down in tears as she rushes to save a mini-poodle's life after his owner threw him off a ledge at a park in Manhattan.

Officer Kelsey Garcia is seen jumping into action to save the bleeding dog.

26-year-old Cleopatra Morgan admitted to throwing her 1-year-old dog off a ledge at Highbridge Park.

The dog, Rocket, was rushed to the hospital where he was in critical condition with signs of a traumatic brain injury.

He was bleeding in his stomach and needed an emergency blood transfusion. He also needed surgery for a fractured femur.

Thanks to Officer Garcia, Rocket is expected to survive.
