I am so tired of being embarrassed by our President. Today, before placing the Medal of Honor on Navy Seal, Edward C. Byers Jr., the President read a short prepared speech. Didn't the man who risked his life to save a hostage deserve the respect of having those few sentences memorized? The President was looking at the notes on the podium rather than into the eyes of Senior Chief Special Warfare Operator, Byers.

Some actions deserve the maximum of respect and decorum. This is one of those instances. Once again, the President demonstrated a lack of respect for our military. I feel the need to apologize to The Navy Seal. He deserved better. Jennie Veary Englewood, FL
