Much as I was loath to do so, I watched the President's address to the nation. I was struck by a few things. The first was his assertion that the terrorists subscribe to a perverted interpretation of Islam. That doesn't seem to be the case if you read the Quran. It says that "Infidels are those who declare God is the Christ, the Son of Mary." Later it says, "Make war on the infidels who dwell around you."
Then he said his strategy is working. That is called perception management. Tell us what we are supposed to believe and then swear by it. Frankly, if ISIS was wiped off the face of the earth in the middle east, it has spread to every country, is putting down roots and as we can see, wreaking havoc. It is delusional to believe the strategy is working.
Further proof that his strategy is flawed is that we just sent special forces to the area. Why if things are working?
He talked a lot about our heritage and responsibility. Nobody knows our heritage and responsibilities better than the American people who struggle daily to raise our families, contribute to our communities, and practice true Christian values. We are kind and thoughtful, generous and peace loving. We don't need to be lectured that the only proof of our values is to subject our country to Muslim Terrorism. That isn't a sign of our values, it is a sign of extreme stupidity.
