Obama’s “I’m With Stupid” T-Shirt

The tacky Obama regime continues to speak to The Great Unwashed in the Street Language of T-Shirts. The regime’s all-time low came with the “Together We Thrive” T-shirt passed out to mourners at the January 12th Memorial for those who lost their lives in the Arizona tragedy. The “Together We Thrive” slogan boldly displayed at the University of Arizona Memorial for the Dead first found life in Obama’s own Organizing for America OFA, circa 2008.

“Welcome to the era of Obama, where for the first time in history, cheering and standing ovations, became part of the Requiem for the Dead,” wrote Canada Free Press (CFP) in its Jan. 14 cover story. And now, just one day after delivery of his lackluster State of the Union address, comes Organizing for America’s “free, limited edition “We do big things” T-shirt “so you can publicly show your support for his (Obama’s) vision.” Wearing “Obama’s Vision” gives stiff competition to the “I’m with Stupid” classic. While public and pundits, by and large, agree that the Sputnik-moment SOTU was a wash, OFA is losing no time immortalizing Obama’s rhetoric on a “$25 or more” T-shirt. It’s at least a break from the Democrats’ “we need $5 by midnight” routine.

“What the nation saw on Tuesday night was leadership,” states OFA in an Internet message, subject line of which reads, “What does your T-shirt say?” The T-shirts of those who could still afford them would likely read: “Deliver us from Obama!”. “President Obama reminded us that, when Americans are faced with the most difficult challenges, we come together--and we do big things,” wrote OFA director Mitch Stewart in his message. “But not everyone in Washington is ready to share the President’s vision for winning the future. Too many are intent on doing all they can to emphasize divisions at the expense of what we share in common. “There’s only one way to respond: show them what unity looks like.”

Rather than the SOTU address being just another Obama speech, OFA wants to “focus on the grassroots and build on this momentum: “A big part of that is making sure his message makes it as far and wide as possible.” With a donation of $25 or more, you can be a walking advertisement for Obama in a “free” limited-edition T-Shirt. And for those, like the well-spoken Conrad Black, who tuned in to Obama’s “We do big things” SOTU delivery on Tuesday night, you did not see that “the spirit of declinism was heavy, in the flaccid speaking, the sophomoric enthusiasms of the legislators, the very scattered applause, the partial boycott of the Supreme Court.” And you definitely did not see what Black described as the “distracting giggling of Joe Biden”. If you did, you must be a Tea Party member or a conspiracy theorist. For what you saw on Tuesday night, OFA-ordered was “leadership”. Now be good zombies and shut up and order your T-Shirt.
