Nancy Patricia D’Alesandro Pelosi. Nancy, Nancy, Nancy. Sister Pelosi has gone stark raving mad. Girlfriend has clearly lost what was left of her mind, and today, we witnessed a woman in the throes of a full-on, all-encompassing nervous breakdown.
She took to the cameras to go to war with the CIA. In her 25th (and counting) version of her story, the CIA "misled" her and other members of Congress when they briefed them on the enhanced interrogation techniques that had been and were being used on top al Qaeda terrorists. Today she parsed and squirmed, and claimed she never knew nothin' about no stinkin' waterboarding, and anyway, it's all President Bush's fault!
She was a total mess. Nervous and shaky, her eyes were darting all over the place, voice stammering out her lawyers' prepared statement, to which she kept referring and at one point, she lost her place as she was reading it.
In calling the CIA liars, she taunted them to disprove her. Dangerous game. There's enough evidence already in the public realm to prove her a liar.
Questions: If the CIA had lied to her, then why didn't she say that when the controversy first broke? Why isn't that also the opinion of Porter Goss and other Congressional leaders who were briefed? The Democrats gained control in the House in 2006. Why didn't she call for hearings and investigations or even the impeachment of the president then?
Because she supported the tactics, of course, and even wondered if the CIA was being aggressive enough with the terrorists. She was down with all of it, until it became public, and then she was shocked, shocked by the news!
Now the CIA is the Devil (temporarily displacing Cheney).
Apparently, Valerie Plame is the only CIA agent to ever tell the truth. Everyone at the CIA was infected but Valerie Plame, a lone outpost of reason and honesty.
Nancy Pelosi must step down as Speaker of the House. She is unfit to hold high office during a time of war.

For all of the Democrats' screaming about Bush-Cheney "incompetence," we've got an actual incompetent as Speaker. She needs to go.
