The Prince of Darkness must be doing an “Elbows Up” Dance of sheer giddy delight. The authoritarian Canadian Liberal Government—only in office for one year and two months—is now booting God Almighty right out of Canada, and will be looking to incarcerating Canadians for quoting Biblical Scripture.

‘Carney’s Plot to censor the entire internet’-headline (National Post, June 15, 2026.)

Directly after passing Bill C-9, known as the Combatting Hate Act, the Liberals will go into a three-month-long hide-out, starting tomorrow. One World Government leading advocate, WEF’er Prime Minister Mark Carney is sending all MPs on a taxpayer-paid vacation, lasting up to Sept. 27.

Once Bill C-9 receives Royal Assent, innumerable Canadian news sites, including Canada Free Press have about one month to try to find a way to stop the Ottawa Government from throwing all of us offline.

In other words, legions of Canadian news sites have about one month to try to find a way to protect ourselves from being thrown offline by the authoritarian Liberal government.

It’s now a dark day, finding its way into a darker night.

Since succeeding with Bill C-9, the Liberals are trying to rush two more Bills through before leaving for vacation:

Bill C-22 (legal access/surveillance) and Bill C-34 (Digital Security). Together, these bills will annihilate, our fundamental rights:

"The Liberals are ramming through the following bills:

"C-9 (Anti-Hate Law): Dramatically expands the definition of hate (hate/defamation), eliminates long-standing religious defenses for good-faith expression, and facilitates criminal prosecutions without the Attorney General's consent. Criticizing, preaching, or even displaying certain symbols could now land you with criminal charges. Gone are the protections for religious freedom of expression and sensitive public debates.

"C-22 (legal access): Forces Internet service providers to retain metadata for one year, eases police and CSIS access to your data, and allows the minister to impose access fees (backdoors in disguise). Mass surveillance of your digital communications without a warrant. Your online life becomes completely transparent to the state.

"Bill C-34 (Digital Security Act): This bill creates a powerful government Digital Security Commission that will dictate to platforms, chatbots, and online services what they must censor, how to verify user ages, and how to protect against harmful content. Mandatory age controls, imposed safety plans, massive fines, and sweeping discretionary powers to decide what's acceptable. Centralized censorship in the name of child protection. Together, these three bills transform Canada into a surveillance and censorship state.

"We’re headed into a dangerous day when even referencing Biblical Scripture online can end in your incarceration.

“You won't be able to speak, share, or even think freely without risking being flagged, monitored, or prosecuted. Dissenting voices, immigration critiques, religious debates, controversial opinions—everything becomes dangerous.

"This is no longer governance. It's the death of freedom of expression as we knew it in Canada. The Liberals have chosen to trample citizens' rights entirely.

“The Carney government signalled for months that it would pass a law to protect kids from online harms, including by banning access to social media for those under age 16. What we got instead may be the biggest threat to free expression in decades: mandatory censorship of social media and AI. (National Post)

Bill C-9 is only one of a series of bills drowning Free Expression:

"The Safe Social Media Act, Bill C-34, aims to keep kids from signing up for TikTok and Instagram, which is bad enough since it means teenagers will be censored. While many parents don’t want their teens on TikTok, others believe their 15-year-olds are mature enough.(National Post)
“Still, the much bigger concern is that the act would create a new Digital Safety Commission with the power to force social media companies and artificial intelligence to censor the speech of adult Canadians.
“The Digital Safety Commission would enforce “duties to act responsibly” by “mitigating the risk” that Canadians are exposed to “harmful content.” Mitigating risk means exactly how it sounds: censoring as much content, either by blocking it or demoting it, as the regulator requires.

“Social media content is by definition expression and protected by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The outputs of artificial intelligence chatbots are also protected speech. They are, after all, nothing more than a reflection of human-created speech and writing.(National Post)
“The government can only limit expression if the limit is demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society. Some of the limits proposed in C-34 easily pass this test, including requiring social media companies to take down intimate images communicated without consent or child abuse images, and blocking AI from telling its users to commit crimes or to engage in self-harm.
“But the “duty to act responsibly” also includes much more subjective speech like content that “foments hatred.” Plenty of content that one person (or AI chatbot) may believe is “hatred” is another person’s reasoned argument. It must not be censored.
“Social media companies and AI companies will be forced to err on the side of caution, taking down anything that comes close, or risk fines up to $10 million or three per cent of global revenues. This will mean a sanitized version of the Internet where we won’t be able to debate difficult topics or get to the actual truth.
"Just consider what the Supreme Court has said counts as “hatred” in the context of criminal hate speech and anti-discrimination law. The court has said hatred is only extreme vilification and detestation. But what exactly is vilification or detestation? We’re told to look at the “hallmarks of hatred.” These are extremely fuzzy and cover many things free people need to be allowed to say.
“Truly hateful speech can cause real harm and shouldn’t be condoned, but social media companies already give us the tools we need to filter out speech that we don’t want to hear, and AI companies already build in safety protections.”

Bill C-9 is not a serious effort to combat hate. It is a tool to enforce Liberal DEI ideology while leaving fundamental freedoms dangerously exposed.

Unfortunately, Bill C-9 doesn’t just impact Canadians, but impacts Americans with ties to Canadian news outlets.

Some 90+ of CFP’s regular columnists are both American and Christian. Ninety percent of CFP’s readers are American, most of them Christian.

Incredibly, in these darkest days of government overreach, there really is a light at the end of the tunnel, mostly because all of these bills are being pushed by one anti-American man—Canadian PM Mark Joseph Carney.

As the WEF-sanctioned Carney fomenting for One World Government leads the battle to boot Almighty God from the Public Square, he’s, in a discernible sense, in league with the devil. The devil, trying to rid God from the civilized world, and around for time immemorial, has failed—and failed abysmally.

Over time, only a paltry few have sold their immortal souls to the Prince of Darkness.

Like their Creator, the human soul lives forever.

Time proves that powerful as he boasts he is, the Prince of Darkness cannot steal our souls.

Neither can the man we know as Godless Mark Carney steal our immortal souls.
